Despite the last two sub-par performances I like what I am seeing from Jaylen. He is still making some rookie mistakes but he is now an impact player and is showing signs of becoming a real force. His defense is mostly excellent, he is unbelievable on the run, his shots are starting to fall and he is a superb finisher. The sky is the limit for him.

Doesn't have a quick release (aka Eddie House), however his shot is not br4oken either. He needs to continue moving without the ball, which sets up high percentage shots.

It feels as though his teammates should be able to get him more easy shots. There was at least one instance in the last game where he cut baseline and Horford should have seen him and led him to the basket for an easy hoop, but Al didn't even look for him.
Overall, I think his shooting is well ahead of what we were led to believe, which is a nice surprise. If he continues to improve on his 3, opponents will have to run him off the line, which in turn will open up his path to the basket, and then, watch out!
One thing I've been wondering is whether he could play SG on a regular basis. I'd like to see him get a shot at guarding DeRozan next time.

He guarded DeMar for most of Q1 and did a great job - then DeMar seemed to figure him out and went off like a fire cracker. I think he can play the 2.

Jaylen is going to be a very good player. He's already playing quite well for a rookie. I think he can play the 2 or 3 quite well. Really like this kid. He's a high character player with a very strong work ethic. That's a very good combination.

DeMar likes getting to his sweet spot, which is like a mid to long range 2, and most players sag off of him and dare him to shoot.

Jaylen's hilites from the last two games are Jordonesque. That hand-switching alley-oop was ridiculous. We got a player. If he keeps this up he will be in the ROY discussion.

His progress has been exciting to see. His ball handling has become crisper, and he's beginning to feel the game more.
His iso on the blocks could turn out to be his bread and butter.
