I say keep it in house and work it out that way. Trade him, bench him or put him in the rotation. Just be consistant. The fans don't need to know how many raps of tape each ankle takes. That goes both ways Mark... When you guys retire, write a book.

Dirty laundry should be kept away from the neighbors sight. No need to let them know what color underwear we wear.
Someone needs to tell this to Blount. He's the one opening up his mouth.

Blount put this out in the public himself when he refused to hustle and was outrebounded by his own point guard. Expecting Doc not to publicly say anything would be like expecting him to keep quiet if Blount wore a clown suit to the game, cause that's how he looked every time he played. Like a clown.

How would you feel if you were Blount this morning, the very morning after Perk pulls down 19 rebounds and gets us a big win vs. our rival 76'ers?
Mark got real big headed, thinking how high and mighty he is, forgetting that rebounding takes a lot more precedent over scoring at the Center position. He complains to Rivers, thinking that he'll get his way, but then Doc benches him and goes with a 21 year old instead, and this young pup goes out and does the job that he himself couldnt' do.
How embarrassing is that?

I think Doc made his message to Blonut very clear, shut up and play ball, or keep the young guys company on the bench. The Celtics are too thin up front to put Blonut on the inactive list. Perkins had a good game, but guys, it's just one game. There will be many nights that he doesn't even make it 20 minutes because of foul trouble. I hate to say it, but until he becomes a consistent NBA center, than the C's need Blount, or another center.

Very true. It was just one game and it wasn't against very good competition either. Perk needs to show a strong rebounding and defensive game consistently and against good competition.
But hopefully this will show Blount how important it is for us to place a huge emphasis on rebounding.
