The losing has everyone down, myself included.
There should be trading opportunities for the Celtics, actually wide open possibilities.
I think our problem spots are PG and C just like always.
We missed an opportunity to draft Parker and Zach Randolph in the 2001 draft. Had we done that, we could have traded Walker much sooner and been better off.
I think what will happen this year is Doc Rivers and Tony Brown both get fired. Parish and possibly DJ take over as coaches. Blonut, Banks, and several others get traded for more draft picks and solid veterans. We miss the playoffs as the kids play.

PG/C are the Celts weaknessses. Not sure if Randolph would have been the answer. However, the 2001 draft was a "wallace" draft from hell.

Zach can get you a fairly regular 20 - 10. That is something Blonut and Raef LaFrentz both rarely do. Al Jefferson has the potential to get there in time. The sooner Doc Rivers understands this and starts Jefferson, the better off the Celtics will be.

Yep, I just don't get the feeling Doc is going to be fired. If anything, you'd be hearing a lot of clashes between the two of them, but to this point, we've heard nothing. Ainge realizes that he has given Doc a very difficult task. He knows that it'll take patience because of the amount of youths we have, not to mention dealing with the moody Mark Blount, and last year with Pierce.
Ainge is not going to dump him just because things aren't going well right now. He knew very well going into this season that we weren't competing for anything, and he knew taking this job that it was going to take a few years to get our bearings.
Just because many of you aren't seeing the results you wanted, doesn't mean Doc is going to be canned. He's doing a better job of playing the players who should be playing. His problems last game was not using Jefferson more, and for leaving Raef and Blount on the court at the end of the game. Other than that, he is improving his coaching.

Well, in the past couple of days, there are reports saying that Pierce isn't on the same page with Doc, again--something about Pierce looking the other way in huddles. How true this is is beyond me. It came from ESPN, I believe. Anyone heard about this?

Randolph has not been the same since his surgery. Plus he carries alot of baggage the Celtics do not need (poor work ethic, attitude).

Are there rumors about a trade with the Blazers that will bring Zach Randolph here?

Yeah, Zach Randolph can stay as far away from Boston as possible. Hes not a good guy. Guys like him, Darius Miles, and Ruben Patterson are garbage. Bad apples like that dont coencede well with winning basketball. However, I would still trade Blount for Patterson IF his contract is up this year, then put him on the IR and let him rot.
