The Nets have settled into having the worst record in the league, and it's looking ever more likely that the Celtics will have the best odds of winding up with the [HASH]1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. I thought it might be good to have a place where we can post our thoughts and observations on the players most likely to be taken at the top of the draft next June.
I have watched parts of a few college games so far and have observed the following:
First I saw Malik Monk go for 47 pts, showing great range and was really impressed. He's listed as a PG but seemed to be playing more SG. Then I saw him again and he did very little. I guess inconsistency comes with youth.
Next I saw Markelle Fultz, who many seem to see as the most likely [HASH]1 overall pick, and thought he looked sluggish and unmotivated. I'll watch more of him but wasn't impressed.
Lonzo Ball, on the other hand, was totally engaged, and looked really good. The best way I can put it is that Ball looked like a winner and Fultz didn't. But it was just one game for each of them and I certainly wouldn't put anything in stone at this point.
I'm looking forward to seeing Josh Jackson (wing) of Kansas and a few other guys.
Who else should we be watching?

Brooklyn has the worst talent in the league (by far). Every bad team has either a great player, or some great young talent, except Brooklyn.

JMost, we have a draft section on this board where we've already begun talking about the top players in college.
I'm a big Lonzo Ball fan. The guy makes his teammates better (UCLA is not a top NCAA team without him).
I like Monk, but he's got to prove to me he can create his own shots.
Fultz has talent, but unlike Ball, he's not making his teammates better.

Sorry about that. Should have checked to see if there was already a draft thread. You can delete this if you want.
