Look at our Dec schedule. We could end up at 9-20 at the end of 2005.

We sure could use more consistant play from Reaf, for starters. As the young guys get more playing time things could improve there too. I sure hope so anyway.

Yeah, It is not looking too good.
Oh well, hopefully the team will stay together and become better in the 2nd half of the season.

I do see a lot of optimism, and its not just because I'm a homer. This team needs consistent effort from the opening tip to the final buzzer, and it hasn't happened yet.
If Delonte starts scoring consistently in double figures, that will be a big boost. So will Raef knocking down whatever open shots he has.
Pierce and Ricky will get their points, no matter what.
Perkins will need to be a double digit rebounder now that he's starting (hasn't happened yet).
Rivers needs to play Jefferson a lot more because he can make things happen on offense, as well as with his rebounding and occassional stolen pass and block shots.

perkins need also starter's minutes not only starter's spot. what's the point of being a starter when the "touches"guy plays majority of the minutes...

Exactly. Perk is averaging well over 10 boards if he were getting 30 minutes. he played 15 last game I think. Doc needs to wake up and realize we dont need Blounts scoring. We needs rebounding and defense. Perk has been doing a better job of staying out of foul trouble. He should have been in over Blount at the end of the last game. We would have won.

Exactly. Its defense and rebounding that we need. Not more offense.
Some fans may think that we're losing because our offense isn't clicking. But the exact opposite may hold true. The better our defense is, the less pressure there will be on our offese. You see, the more our defense is able to clamp down on teams, the less we'll have to score, and actually, we'll get more scoring opportunities from fastbreaks.
By all means, Doc needs to play Perk a lot more.

December is going to be tough, no doubt about it.
How we do is going to depend on our defensive intensity. If we come out and play like we did against Philly, we will win a repectable number of games.
If we comeout lackadaisical like we did against the Hawks, it will be a long month.
Perk getting extended minutes is going to determine our defensive mindset in my opinion. We can't start the game with tough defense if we start with Raef and Blount both in the line up. Raef plays better along side Perk because Perk boxes out... Blount doesn't.

Reaf and Blount in the game together just doesn't work. Not good having two bigs on the floor together that have the same strong point... And that's their outside game. Leaving nobody to crash the glass.

Right now, Raef can't buy a bucket. I think its a perfect opportunity for Doc to use Jefferson in the starting lineup. Put him on a short leash if need be, but just give him a chance. I think he can jumpstart our often slow starts.
