When asked if he thinks Rajon will play for the Mavericks again (implying if he'll re-sign and be back in Dallas next year), Rick Carlisle flatly replies, "No, I don't".
It could be that Carlisle already knows Rajon doesn't want to be back, or it could be that Carlisle himself doesn't want Rondo on the team anymore.
Nothing is set in stone, but Rajon Rondo could be changing teams again. Widely speculated that he's going to join Kobe in LA.

Rondo hinted in an interview a few days ago that if Carlisle was back he wouldn't be. If I was Dallas, I wouldn't fire a very good coach to keep a diva player who probably wouldn't get along with the new coach anyway. So I imagine he will be going elsewhere. All the rumors say it's the Lakers.

I liked Rondo so much more when he was a shy rookie who always deferred the ball to KG and Pierce. Since then, his head has gotten too big for his own good.

I am sure Mark Cuban will tell the real story, he always does.
