The cowboys would get up one game get too h igh then lose the next game and ended up 8-8 for like 10 years straight. Young teams do that. The difference is jerry jones did that for 10 years becacuse he's a moron. I'd like to think Ainge is smarter than that. If we do that for a year im ok with that though. The goal is to gain some consistency and get those extra pieces or whatever is missing. We dont even know what that is yet overly. But scorer and center would make sense to me.
This team is smarter than the dallas cowboys. We are more learning imo. At least i hope we are.
I dont take this stuff that seriously myself. If i yell out the celtics are going to win the championship after the next game we win i'm probably more just joking but I do believe that in ways. Why not.

Jerry jones as an owner annoys me. I've been saying what he needed to do for 8 years. He finally does it and gets those pieces and the team is playing the right way and Tony Romo's back is gone. He's 34 years old. Danny ainge is a good GM. I'm not worried about it overly. If DA makes a bad move i'll say it though. He hasn't in a good while. This team is doing all the right things as far as i'm concerned. WE need to improve from game to game and make the right moves but that's about it.
People call it as they see it. RR saying we got killed is just him calling it as he sees it. It's not that what he said isn't true. What i'm saying is true too though. Just more positive. We have to go out there and do it and all that but as far as i'm concerned this team doesn't worry me that much. DA knows what he is doing. Listening to scal do the broadcasts over tanguay is much better too. Tanguay worries me. The internet in general has a lot of tanguay moments. Danny ainge knows what he is doing though.

I'd rather have a team that's focused and knows what they are doing vs a team that is has all the talent in the world and is all over the place. There are too many teams like that nowadays where talent isn't the end all be all. I'll pick this team to succeed and do well any day because of that. They are going to take their lumps but whatever.
The cowboys of old were great. These cowboys are one of the most frustrating teams in sports. The Celtics aren't. When gary tanguay is that way ab out the Celtics it annoys me. The cowboys are the tanguay of sports. Not the Celtics. Neither is rondo.
At least jerry was smart enough to hold Romo out for a while. They were actually talking about playing him. Rondo might be tony romo but not yet. DA has a firm grasp of the long term with this team. So do I. If Jerry rushes Romo back too early though he's a moron. Romo should be held out until his back can heal.
We could be really bad this year. I kind of doubt that though. As long as we are going out there trying to get better each game and be the best we can be i'm good with that. I expect us to try to win every game. NOt in a omg we suck if we don't way though. We might not. This team is going to have some down times. I'm ok with that. I'm more just positive about this team. We are going to be really good if we keep doing what we are. IT doesn't mean we aren't going to make mistakes along the way either. I have no issue with RR's comment there. He's right. We couldn't buy a jump shot. Hopefully next time we can.
If we build it they will come. I have complete faith in this team that way. As long as DA is exploring different things and working too and he is. There is no doubt there.

Jeff Green to me is still an intriguing player. He can play a lot of positions. He can play sg too. SF, PF. He's pretty versatile that way . We have turner as that glue guy right now. Green might opt out. Who knows right now but Green is still pretty good.
We still could play Green at sg at times this year. I feel similarly to rondo. He is still here for a reason. I think we can build with Rondo. I get most people are in wait and see mode with this team anyways. Some aren't. But a lot of people are. How that is communicated is different is all. I'm more just saying what most people aren't.
We win the next game we are championship bound i'm telling you. I hope this team doesn't get that way though and I don't think they will. I have seen no signs of that. Rondo took them out to dinner. They had a good preseason. Nice gesture. Now its time to get back to work.
It's not wishy washy either. I know for a fact this team is going to be great if they keep doing what they are. Patience is a part of that. Guns and Roses wrote that song already.

I think we can win a championship this year. Even though we lost to the rockets. Probably not going to happen but it's about as realistic as any other prediction out there. More realistically though probably not.
The cowboys on the other hand aren't if they keep doing that stuff. I don't know what was worse today. Brandon weeden playing poorly or dez bryants reaction on the sidelines. All the talent in the world but they do that stuff. I like Dez too. His heart and passion is in the right place. He just has to control it.
Out of all 3 of my teams I like the Celtics the most right now if that says anything. I like what the Celtics are doing. I don't think this team has done anything wrong the last several seasons. They have and can get better but overall the direction is perfect to me. Its more just the process of it. Of course certain things are going to take time.
The Celtics even moved TAnguay off the main show. That shows progress. Scal is really good though. C17 told me a while back Scal would make a good coach. I never saw that or what he was talking about but Scal is a really smart guy. I have no issues with this team. Some of the media could use some work. Guys like tommy heinsohn aren't going to live forever either. I hope I don't have to listen to tanguay for the next 20 years after tommy is gone. Team wise we are doing all the right things though or at least trying to.
To me the Celtics are the best organization in sports right now. Just because our record doesn't show it doesn't mean we aren't doing the right things. Its just overlooked somewhat. The royals nearly made it and won the world series. I'd still put the Celtics ahead of them. San Antonio might argue with me and has every right to. But as far as braintrusts in sports the Celtics are always near the top. There are some great organizations in sports. The Celtics probably would be overlooked and not ranked up there right now but they are that.
That would be a good topic though. Best braintrusts in sports. I'd put the Celtics up there. Just b ecause I follow this team so closely. But DA has this team loaded with talent and draft picks and a good y oung coach and everything in between.
The Dallas Cowboys have a lot of money but have issues still. So do we but different. The spurs should be up there. There are probably osme good ones in hockey I would guess. The Yankees always have been but they have fallen off a cliff somewhat too. When Paul Gaston was our owner we were terrible. I think we are right near the top right now.

C17 and I never had that conversation either so not sure what he's talking about besides just making conversation. Let me word it this way CF. We had both posted about the same basic thing about the need for a 'go to' scorer. Not us talking to each other about it. You better with that? lol

About us needing a scorer... I must have read this on someone else's post CF. Could have swore it was on post 2 or 3 of a 6 post ramble. I kid cause I will...

we might have I just don't remember having that conversation. MOst people don't talk to me about this stuff. Just say i'm rambling and disagree with me a lot. I'm joking btw. We probably did at some point. I definitely have said that we could use a scorer. no one responds. So I just keep rambling.
We could use a scorer though for sure. Jeff Green is getting better too I hope. He started shooting it more l ast year. His fg percentage has suffered but hopefully he can work on other facets of the game this year and improve his field goal percentage at the same time.
I need to be more asking q uestions and discuss and wait for responses but I watch this team enough I feel like I know what they are doing anyways. I've been watching this team for a long time. This team still can improve a ton though and there is a lot to work on.

I think that is what it is with jeff anyways. I think he was more aggressive last year shooting it but his fg percentage suffered. If he works on other aspects of his game. Getting that offensive putback as his first basket and the Celtics first basket of the year was a good sign to me. He does the little things like that and gets out in the lane and finishes that's only going to help his game and us. HE's still shooting poorly but I think that might come around. He's been more consistant so far getting points. Houston was really tough and he was struggling finishing and shooting, but still managed to put up points. That's a very good sign imo.
Years past Jeff would score then vanish some games. I see that turning a corner a bit. His numbers ultimately might be similar but how he's doing it and consistency wise is the key to me. Stats are meaningless that way. He's going to help us and make us a better team if he is scoring in the right spots and doing it consistently.
I'm not saying he is the answer either. But he increases his value to us regardless.

I think in general Houston was a really tough matchup for green, Bradley, sully and ko in particular. Sully nad Green still managed to have moments. Bradley and KO kind of vanished that game. Bradley had Harden and KO had Howard so that's kind of understandable. RR has said it's about matchups in the past.
