www.masslive.com/celtics/index.ssf/2014/08/could_avery_bradley_be_unstopp.htmlI love AB and think he's still a lot younger than people realize and players get pigeon holed sometimes. He can defend. He's fast and quick. He's gotten experience at the point and can handle the ball. His shot is inconsistant and he doesn't take it to the rim as much as he could. He's young. Lofty claims though. I think with a lot of these guys it comes down to mindset. Who wants it. Who's smart enough. AB is a good kid but some of these guys their heart can be somewhat questioned. He's still young though. Got 8 mil a year and we have him locked up. Could be another bargain. AB's body is going to mature and he can take it to the basket. Shooting also comes with repetition. The celtics ultimately want to spread the ball around while being aggressive and taking shots and AB can do both. I don't know if AB will enter that class of guys like Sam Jones or Dumars. He reminds me of those guys sometimes. He's that talented imo. Whether his offense will catch up with his defense and whether he can stay healthy will be proven with time and hard work.

A good way to look at is that AB is only 4+ months older than Kelly Olynyk.
I don't understand the gnashing of teeth over Bradley's deal. Did Boston get a steal? No. But I don't think we wildly overpaid either. As long as he can stay healthy he should be a very solid guard in this league for a long time.

I think Bradley got over paid a little, I see Bradley as more of a nice player coming off the bench. No other teams made an offer to Bradley the Celtics were competing against themselves, Celtics were able to match any offer Bradley got. Was there a team that was going to give AB 10 or 12 million a year? I doubt it. DA tried to sign AB at the beginning of the season for 6 mil what changed in AB's game. Bradley is a nice player but I don't ever see him being an elite SG in the league. You need elite starting players to win in the NBA

Dude is only 23 and was a top rated high school prospect. He only played one year of college and hasn't put together a complete season in the nba yet. DA took chances on guys like this. Perk was that. So was sully. Some of these guys might start paying dividends. I'm still excited for the prospects of an AB and Rondo backcourt and Smart and pressey and all these guys.
He came out the year John wall did and was rated a better prospect by a lot of people because of his defense. I can see why. Tehre aren't a lot of flaws to his game. He slid because he was a tweener and offensively his game needed to play catch up but he isn't really limited. The Celtics historically have drafted players like this that blossom later on.
Bradley as a player is already a good defender. He can shoot. He can play and move off the ball and get to the basket with his quickness. He can play with the ball in his hands. He's a leaper too. He isn't really limited. I think a guy like Dumars or sam jones are his upside. Health is his main concern. Whether he has the drive to be like those guys is the other.

He would work well of the bench because of his defensive versatility. One the reasons I was so high on Nick Stauskas as a prospect is because I think a three guard rotation of Smart/Bradley/Stauskas has the potential to be lethal.

Bradley to me is a 3-D player. However, he needs to adjustment his game, because the NBA is an 82-game regular season.
