All kinds of questions with this one.
It appears that KG is returning to the Nets and Pierce is moving the Washington. I didn't think those two would separate as close as they have been. When they were with the Celtics, they made a pact to retire together.
Pierce signed a 2 year deal with a player option for next season. He can opt out after next year.
Doc had wanted Pierce out there but guess he couldn't swing the money when the Nets wouldn't do a sign and trade for him.
Both Pierce and LeBron can opt out after this season so we may go through all this again next off season.
Wizards had been interested in Jeff Green. Will they still be interested now that they've signed Pierce?

Just read that Brooklyn passed on Pierce. $11-million/year for 2-years is alot for a player that had across the board career lows last year.

I find this to be one of the most bizarre signings I've ever seen, but I've always said these guys are pros. They are about the money. Loyalty means nothing to them.

I misread the details of the contract. $11-million for 2-years, second year is a player option.

I think this is also about minutes. there's no one in PP's way in regard to SF minutes. This will also mark the first time I've cared about the Wiz since the changed their name, which was an awful move IMO. The Bullets always had such an awesome look. The Wizards, meanwhile, have had some of the worst jerseys of the last 10-15 years (though that throwback-inspired alternate uni is pretty cool).

And I know it makes no sense, but if PP opts out of that contract, I'd love to find a way to bring him back for one last year.

Just read that Sam Cassell, who is an assistant coach there, was instrumental in convincing Pierce to sign with the Wiz.

He actually fits pretty well with that team considering their needs. They're going to be interesting. I'm definitely going to be a Wiz fan for this coming year.

It's getting complicated. Have to follow the Wiz to see how Pierce is doing, the Nets to see how KG is doing and always, the Thunder because Perk is still my favorite player.

Pierce will always be my fav BOS Celtic player. Seeing him in any jersey other than green is weird.
