I never felt we were in rhythm all game long. Pierce had his moments, as did Ray and Davis, but overall it just seemed we were out of sync a lot - especially Rondo. But we still had a chance to win in regulation. I don't fault the lack of a TO, as Doc had already called a play, but I just don't get the Pierce ISO. It may have been the best option when we didn't have a PG years ago, but why you wouldn't give the ball to Rondo - even on an off night - and let him create something is beyond me. He isn't going to get stripped and at the very least a shot will get put up. It seems these Pierce ISOs wind up without a quality shot most of the time.

At halftime, had a bad feeling they would lose this one. The stats were overwhelming in the Magic favor, assists, to's, rebounding, Lewis and Nelson actually contributing.
Surprisingly The Celtics came back and could(Should?) have won it. Thought Doc blew it by not calling a timeout in the last possession. I have my complaints about Doc but one thing he does well is come up with great plays out of a timeout. And for some reason, he didn't go to this strength.
Hopefully this is just a blimp on the screen and not the start of something this team will regret.

I am disappointed the C's couldn't close it out. I wouldn't say it was a bad loss, but the team had many opportunities to win. One sequence that sticks in my mind was this (all in less than 24-seconds):
>Wallace takes an ill-advised three point attempt (miss) >Wallace fouls >Wallace hit w/ the technical foul
That was a 6-point swing.

I agree, Sheed killed us in the fourth quarter. My recollection was him missing a 3, committing a foul, drawing the T, missing another 3 and committing an offensive foul. It lead to Orlando's quick start to the fourth.

Mev17, I thought he missed another 3 too. At the time, I asked myself "why hasn't Doc pulled him yet?"

Usually I'd hop on the Sheed hate band wagon but this wasn't a game that should have been decided in the fourth nor the third. If we didn't have to play catch up in the first half and straight after the half time, we'd been in a much more comfortable position. Its a 48 minute game not a 24 minute one.
