Just saw 12 Years a Slave and it was quite good, very raw and some good acting as well...Also, saw Prisoners and that was a good thriller although it is long (but it keeps your attention).

Girl with the dragon tattoo. Like a chick Jason Bourne. I'll probably watch any more that come out

Was it the American or Norwegian version? I saw the American version a while back. Pretty enjoyable. David Fincher always seems to make good movies. Will definitely check out the sequals.

Yup. That's the American one. I think the Euro one came out a couple of years prior.

The U.S. version was pretty good. I thought the Swedish version was pretty good too (when it came out). Still, neither comes close to the book for me. The story plays out much better in book format.

I just finished It's a Wonderful Life last night for the first time end to end. It's gotta be the happiest ending in any movie. I think.

You know I don't think I've ever seen that all the way through. One of those classics I've just never gotten around to seeing.
Haha but I did watch a documentary about pro wrestler Mick Foley last night. It was pretty darn enjoyable. He is a well-spoken dude, and he live quite a life in the wrestling biz.

Saw 12 Years a Slave last night. Powerful stuff. For a historical movie it does a good job of pacing. It never really drags. Covers such an evil aspect of human history. Everyone should see it once.

Just watched Dallas Buyer's Club. really good stuff. It does a grab job of putting you back in a time when AIDS was a scary, mysterious drug, and it also shows how far civil rights have advanced for homosexuals over the last 25 or so years. Matthew McConaughey has a done a 180 with his career. Dude used to do mostly forgettable rom-coms, lately almost everything he works on is quality.

Went out and saw the movie Her last night. Great, great romantic movie. It's based in the near future, and it's about a guy that falls in love with the human-like operating system in his computer, which sounds silly, but is expertly done. 2013 has turned out to be fantastic year for movies(and their still a bunch i need to see).

I've been going through the Best Picture list so I've recently seen Her as well. I really liked it. I watched American Hustle as well and that wasn't as great as I expected. Still a fun and entertaining ride, just didn't think it deserved it's praise. I thought the Wolf of Wall Street was hilarious and flew by even though it's three hours long. Still need to see Dallas Buyers Club though. McConaughey has been on fire. Saw Killer Joe with him in it which is very, very weird - but if you're into black comedy then you'll probably like it.

Yeah Killer Joe was something else. Dallas Buyer's Club is great. The last movies of best picture of 2013 I still really want to see are Captain Phillips, Wolf of Wall Street, and American Hustle. Philonema doesn't do a whole lot for me but I'll probably see it eventually.

Watched Take This Waltz last night on Netflix streaming. Very good movie. Directed by Sarah Polley, who made a devestating movie about dementia a few years back called Away From Her. I'd highly recommend both movies. She's definitely a talented lady.
