My opinion is Yes, he has taken steroids and he knowingly did so.
His numbers jumped from being a very good player to being a great player. And I'm not happy that he is on his way to breaking the All-Time Homerun record because of steroids. But he's not the only one who should have an asteric next to his '02 stats (season in which he hit 73 homeruns). Mark McGuire should have one also next to his '98 stats (year in which he set the homerun mark of 70 in a season).
Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth got to where they are by using their God-given skills naturally. It's a shame that their records will be broken because of players illegally using performance enhancing drugs.

As far as 'roids' go, let's not forget Sosa (roids and cork). They all, if proven users, should be banned from the HOF as well...

The problem, as I understand it, is that there is no punishment set in place for using 'roids. There will be from now on, after Congress gave baseball grief over their horribly soft stance on steroid use, but I don't think there is anything they can do regarding past use. Here is a link discussing this: sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1939349

Yeah- Just wish this would have been taken care of long ago. I love baseball and this all has been making me sick since Mac and Sosa had their run on Maris' record. The history of baseball has taken another big hit. Baseball is all numbers, hate to see this dark shadow over the game and the tarnishing of old records.

Well, what do you think should be done with Bonds at this time? He's set to pass Babe Ruth early this season for 2nd All-Time on the homerun list, and most likely to pass Hank Aaron next season.
Should he even be allowed to do this? I mean, it's a pretty sacred mark to pass Ruth, and eventually Aaron. And I don't think it's fair to either of them to have a steroid user break their records because he cheated to get to where he is.
Even if they put an asterik next to Bond's stats, it'll still show that he surpassed Ruth and Aaron, and I will not be happy with that.
