Will we do all it takes? Simply stated, there is no way to beat Cleveland without a rim protector.

Nope. We need a transcendent player. One for the ages. That guy isn't on our roster yet (thought Brown has a shot if he really puts it together). Our best player (Horford) would be the 5th best player in Golden state. The 3rd best player in san antonio. The 3rd or 4th best players in Cleveland. We just don't have the premier talent yet to win a title.

We need a premier scorer that our opponents need to game plan for on a nightly basis. IT is good but can't carry a team without another sniper next to him. Horford is an excellent all-around player but not necessarily one who will hit daggers down the stretch.

I say a pure scoring threat.
We know we can hold it down defensively. Our problem is not being able to get key points at times because we lack that superstar scorer who can count on in clutch situations.
What a luxury it was for us to have KG, Pierce and Ray -- all those guys were capable of handling scoring duties when called upon.

Both Crowder and Isaiah had over 20 points.. I say that they can do this consistently.. However we don't have that mean rim protector..

Isaiah is definitely a guy who can get his own points. Crowder more or less needs to be assisted. You can't just give him the ball in isolation and expect him to produce consistently.

What actually sets a superstar scorer apart from a normal scorer? Way I see it, Horford can score, IT can score, Crowder can score and so can Bradley. Thats alot of ball movement based on Brad Steven's system which will always open up opportunities to get good looks. When those guys are put in a position that affords them the ideal scoring opening, they usually knock down their shots. Better to have that ball movement and threats from multiple directions as opposed to one superstar scorer who the entire world knows will be hogging the ball and driving the lane.

Kg was a great player. But in the last 5 minutes of a game he was not a scoring option! Clank! Clank! Who got the tough winning baskets ? Posey and p.j.

We won't do it without a mean rim protector.. If LeBron James is allowed to get dunks and layups you lose. You aren't going to out score him..

If Amir and Horford can stay injury-free we can do it.

If Amir and Horford can stay injury-free we can do it. they are to nice. they aren't going to scare LBJ.. no all things aren't possible. no miracle is occurring.. McHale and parish aren't walking through the doors.. McHale was a warrior.. his clothesline of rambus won.

After tonight, I will add that we need 2 things - another scorer AND a beast of a rebounder. We have no one who can control the boards on a regular basis, and we don't do it often enough as a team.

Bingo. Zeller is softer than a twinkie. The guy gets robbed of rebounds everytime. Amir also doesn't swallow up rebounds (just the ones he can get to). I don't think we can wait for Zizic. A big time scoring wing is what's needed. Durant, you would have filled a huge need for us.
