With 2 super teams on the horizon for next season, there really won't be a chance to win the championship this year. Danny needs to build a team to win now but to be a contender in future years. That's why a one year rental on a player like Westbrook or Cousins isn't really smart. I just don't see Westbrook agreeing to stay in Boston and forego free agency. He wants his chance to do the free agent meetings etc. He said so last season. That may change but he seems like a guy would would rather be in NY or LA where all the fashion stuff is since he is so into that kind of thing. Cousins may be more likely to sign an extension especially if he is still friends with Isaiah. I have no clue about what Griffin would do. But all of these guys are rumored to be traded because their current teams don't want to lose them to free agency for nothing. So why would Danny give up a lot of assets only to lose them for nothing in free agency? It doesn't make sense. 2-super teams, which have there flaws. GS more or less traded their bench, for more perimeter shooting which was their strength. CLE is one James' injury away. I agree that BOS has to stay the course, and patiently build the future team.

Two teams. one a dream team lol.
The problem is we are looking at this one dimensionally. We need to get out of the box. Find a way to beat them. Good coaching that's creative in its defensive approach and innovative offensively to score...

Every vet is taking the minimum to join their bench. Its pathetic how guys like David West are so desperate for a ring that they jump from ship to ship to get one. What really is the value of a ring at the end of the day if you're nothing more than a benchwarmer. Unless you're Horry, shooting the occassional big shot and earning ring after ring, then one single ring is meaningless. After all, who talks about guys like PJ Brown and his one ring with us anymore.

P.j.brown stepped up when garnet, peirce and Allen were not scoring. He was a great addition. You have to have that type of veteran on your bench to win it all.
Do you think anyone on our bench is hungry? Desperate to get a championship? I cannot criticize anyone for chasing a ring..
