There is no excuses anymore, this team needs rim protection and a true center. I don't want Kelly and Sully together up front for eternity. One will either be the backup of eachother or get moved, probably Sully but besides the point.. Danny has to get lucky and get one of these guys as Okafor is probably going to be the [HASH]1 pick.
Towns to me seems like the real deal, looks like a less athletic Shaq with some Marc Gasol parts to his game. Seems to have a long reach.
Cauley Stein to me appears to be the best shot blocker in the NCAA but bad passer and bad offense.
If you're listening Danny, get Boston their next center. Even if you trade Rondo, do not grab a guard! Sometimes it backfires taking a big if he gets hurt over say a guy like MJ or Durant but in 2015 Danny Ainge needs to get a center, at ANY cost. I will be mad if Philly snags one of these guys as they seem to have a fetish for stockpiling lottery centers. Boston needs one of these guys, make it happen!

I definitely agree Sully and KO aren't true centers and it would be good to get one. I have mixed feelings on Stein. I think Karl looks pretty good, but it will be a solid three years before he is really helping so it will be interesting to see what happens there. Karl was on like the Dominican national team, right?

Love me some Karl towns, but we'll need to nab a top three pick make that happen. If we trade rondo we should be in the thick of the lotto chase. I also like cliff Alexander as well as Myles Turner and Krisnaps Porwhatshisname. This is the perfect draft for us to stink it up and get a top pick.

I agree with you Fresh on Towns. I'm not a big Stein guy but have to admit he looked pretty good last night, he's crazy athletic. I'm still not a fan of him but will definitely watch him closely this season. Don't sleep on Frank Kaminsky from Wisconsin he's probably going to go late in the first round striking distance from where that Clippers pick should be. I haven't caught a game of his this season but he's playing tonight perfect after Celtics viewing. Wisconsin is my NCAA champ pick. Sam Decker is a real nice player too he will probably be a lottery pick

I like Dekker as well. Reminds me of Trevor Ariza a bit.

I don't know if teams are just focusing in on Decker and Kaminsky but Hayes looks like a nice NBA prospect. He's 6'7" 230 kind of a tweener. Looks like he added the 3 to his game this year. Hayes played really well last night. My concern with him is I think he's to small to play PF and to slow to play SF.

If Boston gets in 6th or 8th position area again, they can maybe use that to move up with another pick. Maybe Clevelands pick as well. I would like to get a top 3 pick center or at 8 maybe Cauley Stein is the answer. The way we're playing now though, it looks as if we're getting in the top 5.
Right now I like Towns and Cauley Stein looks good too, Okafor probably isn't going to Boston. Usually those superstar freak athlete types aren't drawn to Boston if anyone notices like Anthony Davis, Blake Griffin, Dwight. Okafor is probably going to be among those in name value. That's why I didn't mention Okafor. He seems too out of reach. Either way a center is to be had in this draft somewhere as it seems to be the most center thick. I still wouldn't mind swinging a deal for Monroe though to help the new guy learn.

I'll keep an eye on him the next time I watch UW.

I think we'll have to get some lotto luck to score a top 3 pick. IMO moving our vets should be high priority in order to improve our lotto chances. If we do end up in the 6-8 range, I'm hoping that Cliff Alexander is available. He is awfully short for an NBA center, but the kid is an animal.

Yea I don't like being that low if that's the only center we'll have a shot at. I'd rather trade off all the veterans and go for a top 3 this year to be honest or top 5 at very least. Chances are with our luck we'll get knocked back to 6th even if we're the 2nd worst team. I only pray one of those guys is there because I don't want no short center whos too slow for pf or sf. Even a Perkins type at 8th would be too high to pick at that spot. I just hope theres enough available incase the C's are docked to 6th for the 2nd yr in a row.

Myles Turner is blocking shots like a man possessed in Texas. I dunno if he comes out this year, but if he does, he's another big worth targeting.

I watched the Utah game against Wichita State and came away very impressed with 7 foot freshman center Jakob Poeltl. He only had three blocks but altered many shots Wichita was taking. I will keep a close eye on Utah Poeltl may fit the bill for what the Celtics are looking for

Yeah I've been hearing a lot about this kid, but I haven't had a chance to watch him yet. This draft has a crazy amount of bigs with potential.
