Mavericks vs Bulls is what I have. MVP goes to Lebron. I think Dirk will be the best player to watch this year though. A lot of good storylines this year. Rookie of the year goes to Jabari parker with Marcus Smart surprising a lot of people. Not sure whether Nerlens noel is eligible for rookie of the year or not. He might win it if that's the case.
The lakers are going to be awful. The celtics are going to be young and fun to watch and surprisingly not bad. Not sure what is going to happen with Green and Rondo. I dont expect a lot of movement on our team. Green adn Rondo will be dealt or we will move Thornton and bump young up the roster. Either way Young will be playing sometime after midseason. Our roster is set up pretty well where we can build with rondo and green and get another star here with the young group we have or build through the draft with smart. I like the ball movement and smart's defense. Rondo is still the cousy of the celtics until proven otherwise though. Teams are going to position themselves to get rondo or they won't. The lakers might be one of those teams with Kobe on his last legs. Still don't see it happening.
If Rondo is moved it will be to NewYork or one of these fringe young teams looking for that extra piece like New Orleans or a team like that.
Cleveland will not win the nba championship. I could very well be wrong there. Cleveland is very talented and fits together really well. They might be unstoppable but a lot of good teams. San Antonio won't repeat either.
I'm not picking an NBA champion because it ain't over for the c's until it's over.

After thinking about it though. Cleveland probably will win. They have the best mix and Lebron is getting cagey at this point. Kind of like when we had pierce, kg and ray and just won immediately. It's no sure thing though. I'd put the mavs and bulls 2 and 3. San Antonio will be there. So will Washington and the clippers. OKC depending on Durants health.
Top 7 teams this year probably goes as such
1. Cleveland 2. Bulls 3. Mavs 4. San Antonio 5. Clippers 6. Washington 7. OKC The Celtics i'll put 8th just for fun. Actually Houston should be up there. Portland... Golden State. That rounds out my top 10. I'd probably put any of these teams up there with Washington and OKC and probably take OKC's spot with Durant on the shelf. Golden State might be better than the Clippers. So might Houston. San Antonio is really [HASH]2 to Cleveland but im not sure if they can sustain it that far and win again this year.
Also think New Orleans might surprise with Asik there with Anthony Davis. They might be this years Washington.
Teams like Charlotte, Toronto, Golden State. There are a ton of teams like that. Miami, Brooklyn, memphis. Those are those middle of the pack teams that will always be there seemingly. The knicks might surprise this year somewhat. The rest of the league is pretty bad though. Philly has some nice young talent. SO does milwaulkee and Minnesota. But we are better than those teams. I also think we can compete with any of these teams and have better direction.
Realistically we are a step below all these teams but I think outside of the top 8 teams its really anyones ball game. Weird thing out of any of those middling teams looking for a missing piece, rondo probably fits best with Miami. He has always said he hates south beach but he'd compliment bosh, deng and wade pretty well. New Orleans. Charlotte could maybe use him. Toronto. Golden State. I don't see where he fits though. Or a young rebuilding team. Which is basically us too. Sacramento made some sense because of cousins there pairing rondo with cousins but Rondo isn't stupid and wants to win. That was too early for that. Too low of a return. Maybe he'll have a change of heart if Sacramento does well this year.
Indiana and Phoenix. That's about it. More middling fun. Phoenix has a zillion pgs like us and is looking to make a move into that upper tier this year. Rondo could go to Indiana. I don't know. I think for Rondo the teams that make the most sense from a basketball sense are highly unlikely. Miami which would mean DA and Pat Riley would have to make a deal. Memphis maybe if they move Conley to sg. Indiana. NY is out there but they just got calderon. We could take back Calderon, Amare and draft picks possible for Rondo and Green and Gerald Wallace. That's really about it. If Rondo, Green and Wallace were going to be dealt for Calderon, Amare and draft picks then why hasn't it been done?
It really comes down to Sac or NY or maybe a couple other places like Houston or whatever which has it's issues with Rondo and Howard coexisting. Detroit is out there too but same issues with a lack of shooters on that team and what would they give us. It would also mean Ainge has been lying through his teeth. IF Rondo is dealt its more going ot be a salary dump and young players and picks though. I still am not sure what trading him for anything else really solves. I also think we are fine with him in the interm and long term if we want to go that route. Marcus Smart has really impressed me though.
Regardless of the Rondo stuff and out of all those middling teams I don't see why we can't move into that stratosphere this year though. I don't think there is a team in the nba that is absolutely unbeatable.

For champ prediction I'd go San Antonio, but that is not a confident prediction. I'd say it's between them Cleveland, OKC, and LAC.
The West is still incredible. I think the teams that are 10th or 11th best in the west would fight for the third best record in the east.
I think Jabari wins the ROY.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Chris Paul wins MVP. I think LAC is gonna have a monster regular season.
