I can see that. I like Kyle Anderson as a player. He may struggle on defense and being outphysicalled though but could surprise. That's the thing with these guys. Gordon could end up being a stiff and terrible offensively and never improve, and Anderson could really find a nitch and take off at the pro level. It's hard to measure these guys that way. Good comparison though. Two versatile players but very different.

He's lack of foot speed (sprinting and lateral) and questionable defense is definitely a concern. That's why Anderson is not talked about in the top 10.
A guy his size, with his passing ability, rebounding, and scoring would normally be a high lottery pick. But his weaknesses are quite glaring and that's why he's somewhere between mid to late 1st.

He seems more stationary to me and crafty with how he picks his spots and gets in the lane. His iq and awareness on defense needs some work. he doesn't seem to have much of a knack for playing defense or aggression that way.

Aaron Gordon on the other hand is a really good athlete and has all that. He just sucks at shooting.

Actually, his comparisons to Shawn Marion are not far off. Though, I'd give Gordon a better grade on defense, and give the Matrix a better grade on 3 pt and free throw shooting.

He should be on the board when we pick at 17. I think he would be a good player playing for Stevens. He's versatile offensively is unselfish a really good passer and again the high IQ. He would be best playing with a really good scoring PG who plays really good defense (Smart) and a defensive 7 foot Center (Embiid). If we draft which is the direction I want to head in trying to get the Sac pick or Lakers pick for Rondo would be ideal. My dream draft would be Embiid falls to us at 6 we get the 7th or 8th pick for Rondo and draft Smart and pick Anderson at 17.

I agree if Gordon fixes or has fixed his shot already. I think he can be that. He was offensively handicapped. At least that's the way it seems. You can't score if you can't shoot.

Sorry kinda hijacked the thread with the Anderson talk my bad No big deal. Wasn't even thinking that actually more just thought it was a good comparison. hijacking my threads or whatever is fine. I do that to enough people. Discussion is discussion to me. I read things makes me think of other things.
