I"m not saying that Perk will be a bust. I think he'll be a fantastic player for us. I just don't think he'll be enough for us to win a championship. I like him as a bench player because I think he'll be one of the league's best backup C's in terms of rebounding and playing defense.

I think hi sbody isn't thaaaat new. he's been pretty tall for 3 years now. he's been one of the bigger guys out there since he was drafted. he doesn't seem to me to be the kind of guy who would hold bacck if he didn't need to or wpuld be timid about testing out his limits ;D We might be talking about "baby fat"... Now, gravity boots a growth hormones are another option.

I was disappointed in the amount of time Perk got last night. I hope we don't see his time erode in deference to AJ. Kid has done a lot of gym work and physical fitness stuff. ?A guy will keep that up only so long until he starts getting some enjoyment out of playing.
Plus a part of him getting to the point where he gets a better shake from the refs is for them to see him play regular minutes. As long as they see him playing 7-10 minutes---with little regard for his p lay and the expectation that he will play rough and pick up fouls---the refs will continue tagging him.
I can't imagine that he can't get 15 minutes a game. Put him in, and have the coaches continue to work with him on not beign foolishly foul prone.
The trade for Walker got the Cs into the playoffs last year. BUT the trade interrupted Perk's development after he had started getting minutes, and bringing Payton back cut into Allen's development.

You have 96 mpg at the 4 and 5. Divide that between 4 guys (I doubt that Scal's time is regular enough to necessitate 5), that is 24 minutes. I'm guessing that the mpg will rank them as Raef, Blount, Al, Perk. perka nd Al could each get 20 mpg, and that would leave 28 for Raef and Blount.
Another reason for wanting Perk to get somewhere in the 15-20 mpg: Cs were pretty luck last year regarding injuries. Odds are that either Raef or Blount will lose some time this year. Don't want to be in the position of Perk not getting consistent minutes until an injury occurs.
Does ANYONE think Borchart will wind up on the roster?

no borchardt is gone.
out of 96 minutes raef and Blount will get 24 each. al will get 22, perk will get 18, that leaves approximately 8-max10 minutes to scalabrine
