Im going to preface this by saying I think Pierce's days are numbered here.. This is how I see the lineup ultimately shaking out as of now
PG-West SG-Green SF-Allen if he can keep his act together and get a jumpshot, if not Allen then Reed PF-Jefferson C-Maybe Perk. I hope its Perk, but he still has to show some things
Bench Gomes- Maybe the 6th man of the future Allen or Reed
-Dickau and Banks might stick. Greene could make either expendable down the road. -Ricky might stick around as the 6th man although if Pierce is traded this might make Ricky unhappy again
Thats pretty much all im sold on. Raef and Scalabrine are signed long term and will probably stick around but Im sure Ainge wouldnt mind upgrading teh center position if he could package these guys along with others.
Anyhow I like the way the C's roster is shaping up for the future. The vision is starting to get clearer.

G-Dan Dickau G-Gerald Green F-Ryan Gomes F-Al Jefferson C-not on our team
I think Ainge will make a trade and package some players (possibly Pierce) to get a decent big man in the next 2 years.

Im excited about Dickau too. I do envision Gomes as being a hell of a 6th man though. Reed or Allen I see in the starting 5 because of defensive purposes. Gomes is the more well rounded scorer.

Ok, besideas Oden, what big man do you have in mind? one currently in the league? If so, I could guess Magliore. Maybe Primoz Brezec will be a well rounded center by the time Danny goes after him.

Yeah, Oden is one possibility, but they would probably have to include Pierce and a first rounder or two for him probably. Or Danny could also get a point guard and a lesser known big man center in a trade for Pierce + players +/or picks (e.g. Kaman, Prezec, Camby, Magloire, Nene, etc.)
I just see our future starting center being somebody that is not on our team right now. I want it to be Perkins, but we will see how he progresses this year.

Pierce and 2 picks would be super to acquire the rights to the top pick that year if indeed Oden is what they say he is or a good chance. Pierce plus 2 picks personally for another team will be too good to pass up probably. Otherwise though, Nene at center would be real good. This way, our team can have a small frontline but deadly in Jefferson and Nene. I betcha Danny would do a Paul Pierce and Bynum for Andre Miller and Nene deal.

CF, are you thinking that Ainge trades Pierce this year?
You put Green, who is 6'8" at SG, while you place Tony, who is 6'4" at SF. Is this your strategy?
---------------------------------------------------------------
As for my future lineup, I do not see Pierce there as well. I feel that this team can move on without him. I like Delonte, and I'm not ready to reveal my opinion of Dickau and Orien Greene before getting to see him play. So it'll be a question mark for now. Same with the Center position, because I think we can play better with a Center who is better than Raef and Perkins. So here's how it looks (only listing the players I feel will be here long term as the nucleus of the team):
PG - ? SG - Allen SF - Green PF - Jefferson C - ?
First guys off the bench:
Ricky Davis Ryan Gomes Delonte West Perkins

Future----
1- Greene 2- Green 3- Reed 4- Jefferson 5- Perkins
6- West 7- Gomes 8- anyone, other than "employee #8" ;D

PG- ? SG- Green SF- Gomes PF- Jefferson C- Perk (Oden maybe??)
First off the bench
Allen Reed ? (which ever PG that doesn't start)
I left the PG position as a question mark bescause I simply have not seen any of Dikau/West/Greene play enough to see who can be our future floor general, although I have heard good things. Although I haven't seen Orien play, I feel that what I've heard of him, he coud have the highest potential of the three. And on our Center situation, I feel that if Mt. Perk shows us some things this season then we will be fine with him as our starter in the future. But if we have a chance at Greg Oden, then we have to take it.

If any of you play NBA Live, the new one comes out later this month with the new freestyle superstar thing. Players are labled with their different specialties and can take over games with those specialties, for example, Shaq is a Power Player, Inside Stopper; DWade is a High Flyer, Scorer, Playmaker; etc. Heres how I would lable our future "superstars". (tell me if I'm on the right track) Orien Greene- Playmaker, Outside Stopper Delonte West- Shooter, Outside Stopper, (playmaker? ) Dan Dikau- Shooter, Playmaker Gerald Green- Scorer, Shooter, High Flyer Tony Allen- Outside Stopper, High Flyer Ryan Gomes- Inside Stopper, Scorer Justin Reed- Outside Stopper, Inside Stopper Al Jefferson- Scorer, Inside Stopper(Inside stopper isn't just about defense, its about rebonding too), Power Player Kendrick Perkins- Inside Stopper, Power Player

Derren I did it that way because I want to get shooters on the floor and I like the idea of Reed starting at SF. Allen would most likely start at sg and Green would move to SF, but Allen can play some SF too. I kind of like the mismatches Green would create at the 2.
