This guy is available and if Walker's agent gets desperate, maybe they could go knocking on Seattle's door (the Sonics don't want to give him the amount he's looking for).
What's to like about this guy?
-he's a 6'10" SF who's only 25 yrs old -he can shoot the three pointer, improving from 35% to 39% over the past 3 years
What's there to worry about?
-he may be a one dimensional player -aside from the three pointer, he doesn't make use of his 6'10" frame (under 5 rpg for his career) -takes 10 shot attempts per game, and half of them are beyond the arc, meaning he doesn't take the ball into the paint that much.
I don't know how Ainge feels about him. But if he does like him, could the future team have Radmonovic at SF, Gerald Green at SG, and Tony Allen taking Ricky's role as the backup wing player and Gomes/Reed backing up Radmonovic?

We need boards from the 3 hole, I think. I don't think he could D up either on the SF. I see Rad as a specialist. Sounds like a me ball player not a team player.

Yeah, he's not too appetizing to me either.

Gasol would be a lot better to have.

But Memphis would never trade Gasol for Walker, whereas the Sonics may go for a Walker for Radmonovic trade. I agree, though; Rad does not really fill our needs. Maybe a three team deal where Seattle gets Walker, another team gets Radmonovic and we get a future draft pick. I read that Charlotte may be interested in being part of a three way deal -- but it is just a rumor.

Lets just let Walker walk and then make the Jason Williams trade if anythings happening at all.

In a three team deal, Ainge can try to peel a draft pick and Robert Swift in exchange for Walker (with Vlad going to the third party). We'd be getting another player in the deal to even out the salaries. Not sure how I feel about Swift, but Ainge seems to like white big men (without sounding too racist). He traded for Raef, then later traded for Mihm, signed Gugliotta last offseason, and now signed Scalabrine.

Only cause white big men are cheap cause they suck. Although he was also thinging of Saras. He has never drafted a white player or traded for one

Hmm.... I'm pretty sure Jiri was white ;D
I think Ainge feels that big men who are white rely more on basketball smarts because they aren't athletically gifted, and he wants smart players playing close to the basket.

I can see that Derren. Black centers do take advantage of things like contract years because many can jump higher and all and get lazier on purpose. Danny has gotten many white guys and may continue to. Hell, its celtic tradition to have a good amount anyways. How many white players just play in contract seasons then fizzle out? Scalabrine hasn't done so last year. He didn't play super to earn a big deal. Ainge knew what he got for sure.

Dammit, I knew I was forgetting something. This is gonna sound weird, but sometimes I don't think of the Euros as white guys. Maybe just cause I think of a white guy as Larry Bird and McChale and DA, and to me the Euros are totally different. Maybe I think of Dirk as white cause he has a 3 pt shot like Bird and kinda looks like him. I also don't think of J Will as white either. I just think of him as an odd ball. I also think it's kinda awkward that they say while guys play black, but they don't ever say black guys like maybe Allen Houston or Grant Hill or TD play white. I don't know. I almost think more in terms of style like Duke bball vs UNC ball vs maybe Iversonesque streetball

I don't think it come down to skin color. Maybe it's just me.... ! ! ! Roles and functional players. That's what I see.
I want good guys off the court, as well as on the court. We need a solid base of team players!

I think DA thinks of the player he is getting, vs. the race. For some reasons, I think the ratio in the league is 80%/20%. Basketball is one of the only sports that I am aware of that the "race card" is always thrown in. It should not be that way. MK fought for equal rights.

Nah, don't worry, we aren't making this a racist conversation. Just observations.
