I agree with Ferbo and hope that we go in that direction. I wouldnt mind bringing in a veteran PG, as long as he only plays a few minutes a game. I want the lions share of the minutes going to Delonte.

Its all subjective. If we want this to be a developmental year for our PG's, then the need to go after a proven vet PG is not that important--a guy of Mike James' caliber is about all we need.
But if we want to compete in the playoffs this year, we'll need a proven vet PG.

I wonder if Lorenzen Wright is available (plays for Memphis).

Around the time of the Reebok, believe it was DA who referred to Banks as probable starter---or some such.
I don't think he has ever said that he was looking for a veteran PG to be starter.
?And from my perspective, he wouldn't have drafted O. Green, giving him 3 kid PGs, if he was looking for a starting veteran PG.
AND, he would have moved differently than the Scal direction.

I agree totally...the Scala signing and Orien Pick really does screw up the possibility of landing an impact pg. Mike James is okay, but is he really any better than what we have? That's what I didn't understand about Scala. If we're gonna go young, then let's do it. If we're gonna make a run for the playoffs, then let's do that. But Danny wants to continue the "mix", which could be dangerous.

I wonder if Lorenzen Wright is available (plays for Memphis). Isn't he overpaid though? I suppose if Danny can trade Pierce and get a pick with Wright, it would be good seeing Wright has too big of a contract so the pick would be a little compensation.

Well, you can't be thinking that Ainge was planning on drafting Greene. Ainge was not head strong on getting another PG. It just so happened that Greene, whom he likes a lot, was there and so he drafted him. Had Greene been gone, Ainge would have gone after Amir Johnson, a 6'9" big man out of high school.
Ainge has stated that he wants a vet PG, but not necessarily to be the starter.
The Scalabrine signing was interesting because we were in the running for Jasikevicius. Maybe Ainge was more than happy with drafting Greene, so he decided that using the whole MLE on Saras (who'll more or less be a rookie in the NBA also) wasn't the direction he wanted to head in. I don't know. Ainge does things like this that makes you stop and scratch your head, but in the end, it comes out right.

Indiana has a better front office. Saras wants to win. The player just had to decide against coming here. Anyways, if he wants a vet pg who won't be starting, here are options:
Eddie House Kevin Ollie Moochie Norris Lindsey Hunter Jeff McInnis (don't think Id want him though) Jason Hart Dan Dickau Jannero Pargo Gary Payton (HAHA) Mike James Darrick Martin Dana Barros (HAHA) Sherman Douglas (another HAHA)

I guess I wouldn't have huge problems with Eddie House as long as he only wanted a small contract

If there's a PG who I'd have to take (and I mean you have to be twisting my arm), I'd take a chance with Jason Hart. I liked his game at Syracuse and I even thought he did fairly well with the Spurs a few years ago.

Hart is decent to have as a 2nd-3rd pg depending if Banks can crack being the immediate backup.
