So guys, I personally am a fan of the Colts and I was somewhat disappointed they didn't go for 16-0 after all the work they put into getting to 14-0 but I'd much rather have a healthy team and a Super Bowl over a hobbled team that loses in the playoffs because certain crucial starters were injured in pointless games. What do you guys think? Should the Colts have gone for history? Or were they right in resting? They were up 15-10 when Coach pulled all his important starters out including Peyton. I doubt theres anyone who would have said that the Jets would have won even if Coach had kept his starters in. Heck even the Jets would probably not say that. So I'm keen to hear what you guys think Coach should have done.
P.S feel free to talk about the Saints as well..and them losing to the Bucs today...Heck I doubt even God could have predicted that happening.

I have no problem with them pulling starters. All it takes is for a lineman to fall into Peyton's legs and there season would be effectively over.

I'm torn between the two.
On the one hand, you don't get a chance to go 16 - 0 very often.
But on the other hand, is it more important to go 16 - 0 with the possibility of hurting key players? or having your best shot to win a Superbowl ring?
At the end of the day, a perfect season means absolutely nothing if you don't finish the final playoff game with a win (go ask the Patriots how they feel about that).
If the Colts finish the year 15 - 1 and win the championship, they will be more than satisfied.

Yes and considering they played the Jets who have the top ranked defense in the NFL..they could have really hurt us offensively in terms of injuries. In other news...Saints and Vikings both taken down this week? Shocker to anyone? Who knew Cutler would only throw 1 interception while poor Favre would be sacked like a guy playing with pillows as his linemen.

In my opinion its right what the coach did, like you've said Peyton is the most important part of that team, and without him they'd have no chance of winning the Sb and against a tough defence team like the jets, i think losing a game is worth keeping him healthy.
