This is good news. I think his defensive rotations are very important to winning a title. Defense wins championships (as long as we have enough healthy players to run his sets). Makes me wonder if maybe they have offered him the Celtics head job when Doc leaves. Doc talks alot about missing his family. Maybe if they get another title next season he will leave and hand down the job to Thibs.

Great news!!! I really like Tom Thib, and am fairly confident we are the defensive team we are because of him.
Yeah, I know Doc talks about taking a sabatical one of these days (sabatical meaning he takes time off, but will come back), and this may be the perfect situation for Tom to step in for a year and be head coach. Gets his feet wet, and see how he does as head coach.
