Last week, I picked up a used copy of Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark, at Goodwill for $0.53. I had the seen the movie in my childhood, sometime when it debuted in the 80s, however 30+ years elapsed in between the last time I saw the movie. My neighbor had the Well of Souls play set too, with all the snakes included.

I recently forced myself to watch all the 80s movies I never saw. I never saw Ferris Bueller's Day Off till I was 40. Never saw Footloose, Dirty Dancing, or Beetlejuice. My kid made me watch Gremlins this year too. Liked em all. Wasn't a huge fan of Dirty Dancing.

I recently forced myself to watch all the 80s movies I never saw. I never saw Ferris Bueller's Day Off till I was 40. Never saw Footloose, Dirty Dancing, or Beetlejuice. My kid made me watch Gremlins this year too. Liked em all. Wasn't a huge fan of Dirty Dancing. Eja, I am in my 40s too, and I am still playing catch up watching movies. Beetlejuice, I saw in the theaters in my childhood. Gremlins too, and actually rewatched recently. That movie would not be politically correct these days, lol. Even 90s movies, I just saw the Matrix Trilogy recently. |

Any thoughts on movie remakes? Ex: like a movie that was made in the 80s, and remade in 00s? There were a few movies where I never saw the original, like Total Recall, however I saw the remake first then went back to watch the original.
