Next week, with the draft already done, Ainge and Co. will be hosting a free agent camp to find players who could potentially make the team and be contributors.
From the Herald (6/25):
In addition to preparing for the draft, the Celtics plan to hold a free agent camp next week, with some players joining the club's entry in the Las Vegas Summer League.
These free agents are probably the undrafted players who fall out of the draft.
Ainge feels that this is a deep draft and that there are going to be good players who don't get drafted.
Strike it rich, Danny!!

Two players that I think fit this category are Chris Thomas from ND, and C Troutman from Pitt.

Yeah, what ever happened to Chris Thomas, huh? The kid was a potential lottery pick as a sophomore. He and Julius Hodge should have come out as underclassmen. Thomas could turn out to be a solid backup PG in the NBA, but he needs to get his mind focused on keeping his TO's down and not holding onto the ball so long.
Troutman should be drafted, but I've heard no buzz on him yet. He's a very solid garbage player and a very efficient scorer. Tough nosed kid who is naturally strong, but not bulky. He actually stole some of Chris Taft's thunder.

There is no buzz on these guys, so might as well invite them to camp and see if they can prove themselves.

JR Bremer was undrafted and look at how he did as a rookie. Good for an undraftee.

I see Danny going after one of those guys myself.

Instead of using Jr Bremer as an example of an undrafted rookie, try Marquis Daniels. That was a major pickup by the Mavericks.
If I'm Ainge, I'd invite everyone I can to the camp. There's bound to be someone worth picking up, even if its just a practice junkie.

I don't care for M Daniels much though. Hed shoot 25 shots a game if you let him. An undrafted guy like John Starks would be great only without the bad stuff or a David Wesley.

The Celtics in the past have had some good success w/ undraftees...David Wesley, JR Bremer, Greg Minor(?), Bruce Bowen to name a few.

Danny could do just as good or better. WTF is it about undraftees opposed to late 2nd rounders? It seems undraftees have better chances sometimes.

I think Minor was a draftee.

Minor was a 1rst rounder of Indiana but they didn't offer him a contract so the Celts got him (off waivers or just as a FA I think)

W/ an undraftee, you are usually getting someone who knows his only remote chance of making an NBA roster is to play all out. More to choose from vs. a second round pick.

That makes me think Justin Reed is working real hard right now. Under the new CBA, can we place undrafted players on a NBDL team? That would be cool - kinda like having a minor league team (like MLB) - top to bottom, Celt/DA players... edit- Being an Oakland A's fan, I might call it Danny-ball.
