i may be biased, but i think the miami dolphins will finally put all their talents together and make a strong push to be Super Bowl champions this year.
its always been a strong quarterback and a weak running game, or strong RB and a weak passing game. 2 years ago, the dolphins had quality at both spots, but the defense wasn't its usual self.
this year, i really feel that the phins can and will put it all together. on offense, of course there's ricky williams. but then you have standout players at the other skill positions. you have chris chambers and david boston (both pro bowl type WR's) playing opposite of each other and also terrence wilkins for depth. and randy mcmichael (an up and comming pro bowler) at TE. newly acquired AJ Feely could be a key QB for us. and if not, we have jay fiedler to fall back on. the fins concentrated on the OL in the NFL draft to shore up its weakness from last year and have gotten some really talented OT's. this should help ricky williams get holes to run through, unlike last year.
the defense should remain solid. with jason taylor, zach thomas, junior seau, O-gun, sam madison and patrick surtain anchoring the impressive and effective defensive unit, opponents aren't going to be scoring a lot on the fins.
lets hear who you guys are rooting for.

Funny thing is, I live and die for the Boston Celtics, but I just hate the Red Sox. I don't hate the Patriots, but I don't root for them either. Yeah, David Boston isn't doing everything the management asked of him, but to his credit, he is meeting them more than halfway of what they're asking. This relationship has to be a give and take one. They can't win it all with David Boston. He can drive you bonkers, but he can also give a team 90 catches, 1,500yrds and 12 TD's

Plus derren you might want to check his stats with s.d. ;D No, I refuse to look at his stats with Diego ;D He was being big headed during his stint with the Chargers. I seriously hope he's changed his tune a bit. The weight issue they have with him now is a bit overblown. I believe they want him to be down to 225lbs or something like that. But he's at somewhere a bit above 230lbs. But considering he's come down all the way from 245+lbs, I think 5lbs above what they want is tolerable. He's sort of like the Ron Artest of the NFL.

Good Lord, the Miami Dolphins are a mess. As a Patriots fan, I do not fear them whatsoever. I have no doubt we will win both games against them this year, again. They, to me, are one of the most poorly run organizations in sports right now. What an absolute dump.
(No offense, Derren).

Nothing makes me smile more than all the Dolphin fans that get excited about their patch-work offseason moves every year, only to watch the Patriots finish ahead of them in the standings year after year after year.

Hey, but its not fair to pit the Dolphins up against the lucky hand that the Patriots were dealt. They just got the right players at the right time with the right coach. The Patriots are a great team to set as an example of team work and selflessness.
The Dolphins will do better being an underdog, just like how the Patriots have been the past few years.

Derren its more than luck although some was involved.. No other team that i am aware of stresses team play as much as bb.. Plus the outstanding draft last year.. people wrote us off with that whole milloy thing.. And the buffalo loss.
A superbowl win, an unprecedented win from both mens and womens schools in the ncaa tourney seems like the lORDS FAVOR..
Miami was a bunch of crybabys about the schedule, we dont want to play in the winter in foxboro.. We cant win in the second half cause we gotta play in the cold.. Please derren tell me how you can respect that.. Sorry if it sounds like i am busting ya chops bro!!!

O-gun is thinking of sitting out til the last 6 weeks...that will not help you guys at all. Its pretty easy to stop a one sided pass rush. The two sided rush was almost intimidatiing.

Quincy Carter was released by the Cowboys today. Amazing that a guy of his talent could be released just like that. Marajuana use seems to be the root, but you just don't give up on a guy with his potential that easily. I guess Parcells thinks highly of Drew Henson because Testaverde isn't going to play forever.
Heck, I hope the Dolphins make a move for him. Carter has the talent to play well and whoever he goes to, he'll get some snaps, if not the starting nod.
