well, january was only 4 months ago, so you have been a very busy poster.

It sure seems so. For not a lot of people coming in here, its sort of a feat I guess. On an active board, you can get that in like 3 weeks. And considering I took off for a lil over a month due to it not being busy, I posted a lot.

yeah, keep it up.
this site may not be a giant yet, but i think we've experienced good success for being active just under a year. and we are still growing. at first, it was just bosloy, btriggs and i posting here and that was it. we've come a pretty good ways from that point. and a lot of our regulars haven't been posting as much either. its all about making it a habit of coming here and posting. there are still a bunch of good posters over at the espn site who would be good additions here, but all in due time is how we should be looking at it.
and i think we are mirroring the celtics. we are just now starting to make our move to the top. we are at ground zero and there's only one direction to go from here (well, we are above ground zero, but we are still in the early stages of the product life cycle).

Funny way of looking at it in a way.
How many active posters are registered here? My guess is 25 since it opened.

of course you are, dave (hoping we'll see more of you).
yeah that number sounds about right.
but what you must take into consideration is that though our numbers might not yet compare to espn's or even Celtics Nations' message boards, this message board is only being used by courteous Celtics fans. we don't have the trollers or bad posters coming by here. if we did, this board could have hundreds of daily posters, but this place would also be a mess.
bosloy has done a good job of keeping this place for only positive celtics fans and if our numbers are a bit down compared to other places, well i think that's the price we need to pay to keep sanity here.
and we still have new members coming in. i see we have a new member w00t just joining us for the first time. and guys who like to post in friendly places like this are usually the ones who keep coming back and become regulars on CG.

When I asked people to join, someone I forget who said roto nerds like derren come on here so I guess thats a shield to keep the trouble out. Getting people to think this board has a lot of nerds compared to espn.

roto is a terminology for fantasy sports.
i don't know how they associate me with that.

congrats john for the big 1000. i remember when i joined even derren had something like 400 posts. seems like forgotten past doesn't it? anyway you are much more active than some of the mods (that bchistorian guy for example) btw recently we've had some new posters but they aren't making it a habit to to visit this place and btw2: anyone heard about ossric lately? my fellow "biggest european celtics fan" has disappeared somewhat. i may be wrong of course...
