This kid could be a real diamond in the rough. I see celtic green written all over him. He appears to be a Danny Ainge type of player. He even has a message board where he answers questions. I hope to get this guy somewhere in the draft.

About his jumper. He can hit from anywhere. He shot 42% from the 3-point line and over 50% from the floor. His dribbling can use some improvement but that is something that can come with work especially with how athletic he is.

From ESPN:
The hardest working player on the squad ... One of the most improved players in the nations ... Has been a beast on the glass ... A great positional rebounder ... Not much of a shot-blocker, he stays at home defensively and isn't particularly quick off the floor ... Scores from everywhere on the floor ... Operates in traffic and draws foul ... Limits himself to good looks but will take the spot up jumper out to 3 and successfully convert .. Connected on an incredible 86-of-128 field goal attempts for a .672 percentage as a junior ... Field goal percentage ranks second-best in a season at UTC and would have officially led the Southern Conference if he had attempted a few more shots ... JUCO Transfer from College of Eastern Utah ... Averaged 10.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game as a sophomore in 2002-03 ... Connected on 66.7 percent of his field goal attempts and 50 percent of his 3-point field goal attempts ... Earned a academic scholarship after his freshman year ... Attended Alytus Altiniu High School in Lithuania ... A native of Alytus, Lithuania.

University of Tennesee Chattanooga. They won the southern conference last year.

This kid isnt listed in the latest mock draft anywhere so chances are, he could come out late. I feel just because they are all listed in a mock draft doesn't mean changes won't be done with new players coming into it. It had boston taking Warrick, Luther Head with the 50th or 53rd and eh forget who else.

I see you've read his message board, CF ;D Yeah, I'm trying to entice him to come and post on this board.
Tom, does he have nice elevation on his jumper? Can he release his jumper quickly, or does he take time to gather himself for the shot? Also, can he execute a quick jumper off the dribble?

I'd say that he can get his jumper off over pretty much anyone, but I think that is probably the part of his game that could use the most improvement is the dribble, stop on a dime, and elevate and shoot. I think that this is something he has been developing this summer but I dont see it as something he can't do in the future. Like the reviews said he is such a freak athlete that he can pretty much do whatever he wants. Also he is such a hard worker that his learning curve is pretty steep.

Thanks, Tom. Well, let me ask you what his weaknesses are--think of it as constructive criticism.

hmmm... I would have to say that his weakest point is shooting off the dribble. If he had that for us he would have been really unstoppable (even more that he already was ;D) I think that this stems from his not having to dribble much because we had such a passing offense last year. He handles the ball pretty well for a guy that is 6'9" but that is an area he could use some work. his free throw shooting was a little sketchy but he was incredibly clutch in the end of games when it mattered.

Well, at the very least, I'd like Ainge to get a very good look at him with his own eyes. He sounds worthy of an 18th pick. Not many 6'9" players are as quick and athletic as he is, and if his jumper is consistent, he'd find a nice home in our offense.

I think that this stems from his not having to dribble much because we had such a passing offense last year. Just what we want to do...If Doc can get the players to buy into his running game, next season, this might not be much of an issue.
