Sixers inbound and bring it up. Smith misses a jumper. Posey grabs the rebound. Perk gets the ball inside and misses a hook shot. Sixers rebound. Smith is fouled by Perk on the way by. Smith hits both FTs. Sixers extend their pressure in the back court. Celtics miss and Sixers rebound. Sixers miss and Posey rebounds. Perk with two fakes and steps through the defense and lays it in at the SC. Williams misses and rebound goes out off Celtics. Sxiers miss and KG rips down the rebound. Rondo misses and Young rebounds. Sixers miss a jumper and KG clears the rebound. RA hits a straight away 3. Young misses as he takes it to the hoop. Rebound goes out off Sixers. Time out with Celtics up 98-79 and 2:19 left in the 4th.

Celtics inbound. Cassell is back in and brings the ball up. Ball is deflected out of bounds as Sam tries to get it inside to PJ. Smith with a block and Sixers come away with it. Williams hits a jumper. Celtics turn it over. Cassell and Smith collide and Cassell is called for the foul. Smith hits the first and misses the second. Cassell misses and Powe rebounds. He has it blocked. Sixers come away with it and get the foul. He hits 2 FTs. Tony takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Sixers miss and Brown rebounds. Sam brings it up. PJ misses from the FT line. Powe called for a foul on the rebound. Smith misses the first. hits the second. Sam walks it up and dribbles out the clock. Celtics have their first 50 win season since 1992. Final score is Celtics 100 and Sixers 86.

B C P - I finally have an excuse to break out the champagne chillin in the fridge since the February 3 weekend! The Celtics have made it to 50 wins for the 1st time since Bird's last season way back in 1992. That would be almost 33% of my lifetime ago.
These are the good ole' days.

Perk is a terror for teams going inside. With him and garnett playing this way we are going to be ridiculous defensively.
This was a fun game to watch. I like it when the c's go up against tough minded teams like philly. it makes for good basketball. We were just more talented. C's are back to rolling over teams again. I just thought this was a game where it's how basketball should be played.
