Early word on Baby is that he has a strained left quad and won't be back in this game. We now are down to Leon as our big. We have no choice but to play small ball now. Next, Rondo will be playing center. Hopefully Baby will be ok. We sure need this rest.

Will Pollard play tonight then?..Doc said he would use him for "emergency purposes" because he has some aggravated tissue in his ankle that gets worse when he plays or something..I think tonight would qualify as an emergency(if we start to falter) and he would have the all-star break after this anyway...

Yeah we are down to leon and noone. Unless Pollard going to play. I'm amazed at how well we are playing as thin as we are right now. We have no big men and we are winning games. This team is in a zone or just knows how to play right now.

It's also weird how players get struck down when they start to get a bit overlyzealout and cocky. TA when he always seemed to get ona roll would try to do too much and hurt himself. Davis kind of seemed like his recent success was going to his head a bit and then tried to do too much on that play.
Speaking of which TA is playing great and within himself of late. He is having a great game.

We should be thankful we're playing the Knicks tonight though too...They aren't exactly the most motivated team and lets just say we know no matter how thin we are we work our butts off during the game...Leon/Posey will step up and Rondo needs to crash those boards lol...Isiah was playing small ball in the 2nd quarter which boggled my mind and lets hope Powe keeps taking those charges from out of shape Curry...
Davis was fouled though on that play and i thought the arm actually twisted him around and caused the awkward fall though your idea might be it too...

Celtics inbound to start the third. RA takes it to the hoop and lays it in. Celtics with a steal. RA misses inside and RAndoph rebounds. Pierce called for a foul. Rondo steals the inbounds pass and takes it all the way for a layup. Crawford misses and PP rebounds. Long pass up court to Posey and he gets to to PP at the top of the arc for a 3. Time out with Celtics up 60-40 10:18 left in the third

Travel called on Randolph. PP misees a 3 and RA chases down the long rebound. Richardson called for a foul as PP drives to the hoop. Celtics inbound on the side even though PP was shooting at the time. RA with a bounce pass inside to Powe for a layup and foul. He hits the FT. RA called for a foul, his second. Knicks inbound on the side. Powe with great defense to force a 24 second violation. Rondo drives down the lane and lays it in. Randolph gets the ball inside and lays it in. PP drives into the lane and kicks out to RA in the corner for a 3. Randolph scores and is fouled. He hits the FT. Rondo mises a jumper from the FT line. Knicks rebound and Jones hits a 3. Rondo gets the ball on the basline and hands off to Powe for the layup. Rondo with a block and Celtics come back with it Rondo with a bounce pass to a cutting Powe who lays it in. Time out with Celtics up 72-48 and 6:58 left in the third. Leon got hit in the face and was wiping blood off his lip as he sat on the bench.

I think one big reason the Celtics are completely gelling is because Rondo is leading, controlling, directing, and getting used to the game with these players..But man, that pass to Leon and the finish was sweet!

Rondo is awesome. It will be interesting what happens when we are fully healthy. We've really been pushing the tempo and kind of free wheeling on offense. Hopefully rondo will stay aggressive and we will stay at this pace even with Garnett in the lineup.

Yes..I love this swagger he's developing and that fake the behind the back pass never gets old!..Has Rondo actually ever done a behind the back pass? lol...

Knicks turn it over on a bad pass. PP hits a fall away from the FT line. Crawford is fouled by Rondo as he is shooting a 3. He hits all three FTs. PP misses a jumper and Powe keeps it alive but Knicks come away with it. Crawford misses a 3. Celtics rebound. RA misses a jumper. Lee rebounds. Randolph hits inside. Rondo takes it down the lane and lays it in. Randolph is fouled by PP as he goes to the basket. He hits both FTs. RA spins into the lane and is fouled. RA hits both FTs. Knicks miss and Powe fights for the rebound inside against Richardson and Randolph. Jump ball called. Knicks win the tip and Lee spins to the hoop and lays it in and is fouled. He hits the FT. Tommy is chuckling because nobody tipped the ball on the jump ball. Powe gets the ball inside from Rondo and misses a layup but gets his own rebound and is fouled. He hits both FTs. Rondo knocks Crawford to the ground as he goes up for a shot from the corner. Tony comes in for RA. He hits 2 of 3 and Posey grabs the rebound. Pierce's pass is deflected out of bounds and Celtics turn it over. Tony deflects the ball out and Knicks inbound with 12 on the SC. Tony called for a foul. Celtics are over the limit and Robinson goes to the line. he hits both FTs. PP drives to the hoop and is fouled. House comes in for Rondo. 30 second time out as the doctors tend to a scratch on Pierce's hand that is bleeding. Pierce hits both FTs. Lee hits a jumper. Knicks with a steal and Lee takes it to the hoop for a layup. Pierce's pass inside is picked off and Jones with a finger roll. Tony gets the inbounds pass and brings it across. Refs stop play because of a clock issue. RAy allen named to the All Star team to replace Caron Butler

Congrats to ray for being named to the allstar game. It's going to be fun seeing Rondo, Pierce and allen. Powe should be there.

Pierce throws the ball away again. Posey commits a foul to prevent a fast break. Crawford hits both FTs. House quickly gets the ball across Powe gets the ball inside and gets a friendly roll as it falls in. Lee with a jumper. RA misses at the buzzer.
Score at the end of 3 is Celtics 85 and Knicks 72. Knicks were able to cut a 20+ lead down to 13 because the Celtics got sloppy. Pierce with 3 straight turnovers. They need to play smarter and harder in the 4th or the Knicks have a chance to pull this one out.
