We did everything right except win. When a team goes that lights out (prolly the best I've ever seen) and we still somehow stay in it and almost win, you can't hang your head. We outrebounded them, controlled the Ofeensive boards, had more steals, less TO's and shot 49% from the field. Unfortunately they shot 58%FG, 71% from 3, and made all their FT's. If any of those 3 stats were not there, we win this one. Gotta give Toronto the credit for hitting shots like they were all in a zone. And without Kapono scoring!!! In fact they had no bench production to speak of except Delfino.

yeah it was a good game. Toronto is tough and they are firing on all cylinders. Calderon, Parker, Bargnana, Delfino, Bosh were lights out. We just didnt put them away and we didn't hold them defensively at the end. We needed stops and we didnt get them. It's not big deal. It sucks but we will be fine as I always say. Not being complacent either. I just thought we played well and just needed to stop them and we will next time. It would have been nice to sweep toronto though but these are good lessons to go through now rather than later.

This just proved to me that the Raptors are completely soft..If we work the inside game and make the game tough and driven orientated we can crush them(like we did the first 3 games, they shot poorly in) but the Raptors got lucky and got fire(we gave them open looks)..Also, i firmly believe the Raptors wanted it A LOT more than us which is understandable considering they have something to prove but this just made me feel more comfortable with how much better we are than anyone not named the Pistons in the East..Nobody can win living and dieing with the 3 as the Raptors do....Rondo was extremely poor on defense so i'm glad Doc can now harp on that and he'll learn..No way in hell we lose to the Raptors again even if we faced another 4 times, i'm pretty confident in saying that..We played pretty poor on both ends(low energy defense, played offense to their way) but it just helps us improve more on defense with the pick and rolls and forcing our style of play on games..Opponents shoot 70% from 3 and you lose by 2 playing a pretty mediocre game with Ray almost tieing it up, i say this game is just a tape to look at to improve on and nothing to really care about..

yeah we should have beaten them. they cant play defense with us. that's where we should have beaten them. We can score at will against them and they cant stop us. We should ahve been able to stop them at times. We didn't do that. We didn't get stops when we needed to.

Yes, and the Rap are tied for 5th in the East with the Wizards but i think the Raps aren't even on the Wizards level..I might be seriously underrating the Raptors but their type of team just doesn't appeal to me since you can be too streaky and they don't even attempt tough defense..Washington when they beat us left a good impression on me as a tough grinding team and they impressed me while the Raptors came off as, whatever a mediocre team beat us by getting hot and catching our defense on a sleeping day...
But, i'm actually happy Calderon exposed Rondo very badly on his poor defense in just staying in front of his man..Now i KNOW Doc will make him work on this because i swear Rondo just doesn't even try to stay in front of his man because he should be able too, he's one of the quickest guards out there...

Tough loss. Seems like the team has been missing a player or two the past few games.

Without Posey we allow 93 to the Knicks..and 114 to the Raptors..I think that just shows Posey's affect on the defense(of the 2nd unit) when Garnett leaves..Posey is a lot more valuable than the stats show...

I agree about rondo's defense. He plays to one side too much and he doesn't stay in front of his man. That's something i've noticed as well runrondo. He needs to do a better job at that. I don't know about the wizards or toronto. They are both good. Toronto is a very strong offensiev team but i dont think they are a threat to us. They are basically phoenix lite. They can be beaten pretty easily though if we stop them when we need to. I wouldnt necessarily downplay toronto and say they arent good because they are good. They just arent on our level. Not many teams are though..

Well to me, in the back of my mind at least..I feel like the Wizards have an outside chance of being like Golden State was to the Mavericks last year in the playoffs to us just because the Wizards outside of the Pistons match up very well with us but of course that's just a very small idea in my mind because the reason Detroit is our toughest matchup is their great starters and bench while i don't think the Wizards have the bench..but yes, i think the Wizards look very good, imagine with Arenas if he accepts to be a playmaker..but their one fault can also be defense..which then leads us back to Detroit being the one team in the East that we really should worry about since they're the only ones proven to win with hard defense..
Billups>>>>>Rondo Rip====Ray Prince<<<<Pierce Mcdyess<<<<Garnett Sheed>>>>>Perk
Arenas>>>>>Rondo Stevenson<<<<<Ray Butler====Pierce Great matchup Jamison<<<<<Garnett Great Matchup Haywood>>>>>Perk Haywood surprised me with his improvment...

O yeah, and Rondo will learn but i'm just surprised someone who i thought at least was pretty solid at defense played so poorly and was our main unraveling point today(he let Calderon set up the open 3's with his penetration)..I've seen him have problems staying in front of the man before but i didn't think he'd let Calderon do it sooooo many times and even at the end of the game..Our pick and roll defense will improve after that game, it killed us cause Rondo stuck to the picks or went under, etc....

We got slammed tonight. There was little that can be done except make a couple of more plays on defense or make a couple of more shots on offense. Tonight is why you don't go 82 and 0 in the NBA.

On the one hand, I want to blow off this loss because it took 15-21 3pt shooting to beat us by a mere 2 points, something that won't happen 9 out of 10 times (and certainly not 4 times in a seven game series).
But it bothers me that once again we get soundly outplayed down the stretch in our own building. The Wizards outscored us 25-6 in the last 6+ minutes of the game when they beat us in Boston, and now the Raptors outscore us 19-10 to close out this game after we had taken a 102-95 lead. I'm shocked we can't do a better job of holding on to 4th quarter leads at home, and being out-executed at the end of games worries me. I'd like to think we can do better than an Eddie House outside shot when the game is on the line.
