Celtics inbound on the side. The get it to House. He passes to RA in the corner who misses a 3. Stevenson gets the rebound and drives the length of the court and lays it in. Final score Wizards 85 and Celtics 78 Sloppy game... bad coaching ... Celtics played defense only in spurts. Rebounding is mostly effort and desire and the Celtics have allowed teams to outrebound us by a big margin two nights in a row.

I agree FLCeltsFan; Second night in a row we get out-rebounded, and soundly out-rebounded on the offensive glass. I must say I'm surprised to see KG with only 6 boards. Seems his rebounding numbers as of late are not what I've grown accustomed to seeing.
I'm certainly not going to push any panic buttons. We were due for a slump sooner or later and I'd rather have it now than in May or June. I do, however, wish we could add another big man. Other than Davis, we have nothing off the bench to give us size.

the point is that if that happens now, what about May?

Surprised. Thought the team would play harder.

It's amazing that even with Rondo out Doc will not put Gabe Pruitt in for a minute...
Oh yeah, and I've decided not to do the CG Award when we lose mainly because nobody should deserve it if we lost and tonight no one really stood out anyway...i think that's a smart idea to do..

When Perk is in, KG gets more rebounds as Perk boxes out to allow KG the space to get inside. You would think that when we are getting out rebounded so badly Doc would put in rebounders. Give Powe a chance. Play Perk more (he was our top rebounder) Play Pollard. Don't play Scal. Keep rebounders out on the court and don't play small ball.

Good points FL, though KG did manage to lead the league in rebounding with Blount playing next to him last year -- but I can see why small ball would hurt us rebounding wise. With Powe and Davis so relatively young and under 6'10", I would feel more comfortable with a taller big man of the bench with some experience. Off the top of my head, I can think of PJ Brown (though I don't know how much "gas" he has left in the tank) but have no idea who would be available. At this point more of a "wish list" item as we are still doing terrifically well, but I have this nagging fear that lack of big-man depth (especially shot-blocking and interior D) can come back to haunt us if KG, Perk and Big Baby aren't each at 100% physically come playoff time.
