It should be a battle as both can go inside or out. Keys to the game. Energy. Come out strong and play for 48 minutes. Defense. Defense got them here, continue playing team defense. Don't take them for granted. The Celtics can't let up their guard on teams with losing records. They have to play them as if they were contenders as even the bottom teams will play the Celtics tough. Game NotesThe Grizzlies are 4-11 on the road and 3-7 in their last 10 games. They can be a dangerous team though as they have players who are capable of taking over a game on any given night. This could be a trap game with the Pistons rematch coming up the next night. The Celtics need to be careful and not take this team for granted. |

Celtics win the tip. PP drives into the paint and kicks out to KG for a jumper. Darko misses a hook shot over Perk. Celtics rebound. PP misses a deep 3. KG keeps the rebound alive but Grizz come away with it. Miller hits a jumper. RA misses a fall away and Grizz rebound. Grizz miss a jumper and Gasol rebounds. Gay takes it into the paint and misses a runner. Rondo takes it down the lane and lays it in. Miller hits a jumper. Rondo called for a foul. Grizz miss a jumper and KG rebounds. Rondo's runner in the paint goes in and out. Darko with the rebound. Conley misses with 3 on the SC and Gay sneaks in to dunk the rebound. Perk's shot is blocked and Grizz come away with it. Grizz miss and Celtics rebound. KG goes baseline to the hoop and is fouled by Darko. He hits the first and front rims the second. Grizz rebound. Gasol hits a jumper. KG hits a turn around in the paint. GAsol misses and PP called for a foul on the rebound. Perk with a block and Celtics come away with it. KG misses a shot on the baseline. Gasol rebounds. KG with a block and Rondo comes away with it. RA misses a 3 from the corner. Miller hits a straight away 3. RA takes it down the lane and misses a layup. Grizz rebound. PP drives into the lane and is fouled by Gay. PP hits both FTs. Gasol misses a jumper and KG gets the rebound but loses it out of bounds. Gay misses a jumper and Perk rebounds. RA takes it to the hoop and his layup rolls around the rim and out. Gay misses a 3 and PP rebounds. PP takes it hard to the hoop and his shot is blocked by Darko. Celtics inbound. PP hits a fall away jumper. Gay hits a jumper. KG lays it in and is fouled. Time out with Grizz up 17-15 and 2:31 left in the 1st

Conley hits a jumper. PP hits a 3. Darko misses a hook shot. PP rebounds. Rondo goes to the hoop and Perk tips in Rondo's layup but they call basket interference. Grizz miss and Celtics rebound. Tony hits a 3 from the corner. House called for a foul and Conley hits the first and misses the second. PP rebounds and gets it quickly to Rondo who misses a runner at the buzzer. Score at the end of 1 is Grizzlies 24 and Celtics 22

Swift misses in the lane and Posey rebounds. Tony hits a jumper from the FT line. Time out with Boston up 28-26 and 9:45 left in the half

RA comes in for Pollard. He hits the second. House, Posey, RA, Big Baby, and Tony on the floor. Tony takes it into the paint and lays it in. Swift misses and Posey rebounds. Tony misses a jumper. Grizz rebound. Gay hits a jumper. Tony gets inside and misses a layup but is fouled. He hits both FTs. Navarro is fouled by Tony from behind. He hits both FTs. Tony lays it down for Big Baby who hits a scoop shot. Swift misses a step away and Grizz rebound. Tony with a steal. House misses on the baseline and Gay rebounds. Navarro hits a jumper. Tony misses a 3 and Davis keeps the rebound alive. Celtics come away with it. Foul is called on the Grizz and Time out with 5:27 left in the half and Memphis up 37-34

Posey with a steal and gets it ahead to RA who gives it back to Posey as he cuts down the lane and he draws the foul. Posey hits both FTs. Darko hits a jumper. Tony takes it to the hoop for a layup. Darko misses and Posey rebounds. Rondo's pass is too hard for KG and Celtics turn it over. PP comes in for Posey. Darko hits a jumper. Perk back in also. KG with a touch pass to Perk for a dunk. The crowd is coming alive for the first time tonight. Conley misses a 3 and Perk rebounds. Perk misses a hook shot in the lane and Grizz rebound. Gasol misses on the baseline and Tony rebounds. KG misses a fall away on the baseline. Miller rebounds. Gay hits a jumper. PP hits a jumper from the top of the key. RA gets a steal and takes it to the hoop. Celtics starting the third quarter with the starters. Memphis inbounds to start the 3rd. Rondo pressuring the ball in the back court. Offensive foul called on Miller Perk over the top to PP who missed the layup. Gasol misses a hook shot and Rondo rebounds. Rondo misses a floater in the lane. Gasol gets the rebound and PP picks off the outlet pass and hits a jumper. Grizz hit a jumper. KG misses a jumper. Rondo misses the follow and Grizz come away with it. Gasol hits a baseline jumper. Game tied at 49. PP hits a jumper in the paint. Grizz miss from the corner and Perk rebounds. Gasol throws the ball off the Grizz as he is falling out of bounds. Celtics inbound with 15 on the SC. Conley breaks up a pass and Celtics inbound with 12 on the SC. KG spins and passes off to Perk inside for a dunk. Conley misses a layup and RA rebounds. Miller misses a 3 and KG gets the rebound. Miller called for a blocking foul as PP drives down the lane and lays it in. He completes the 3 point play. Jacobson hits a 3 from the corner. Rondo misses a jumper and Grizz rebound. Gay hits a jumper. Gay with a steal and is fouled by RA. Grizz inbound on the side. Gasol goes up the middle and Perk bothers his shot. He misses the put back and is fouled by Garnett on the third try. Time out with 2:41 left in the 4th. Celtics up 68-60

Gay chipped his tooth on Posey's arm. Tony misses ajumper and Miller rebounds. Celtics with a steal. Rondo is called for an offensive foul. Memphis lost the ball out of bounds and the refs call it Memphis ball. Lots of boos on that call. Gasol misses and KG rebounds. Posey with a pass down the lane to KG for a layup and foul. KG hits the FT. Swift gets the ball inside and lays it in. Posey hits a 3 from the top of the arc. Rondo called for a foul when it was clearly an offensive foul. Lowry hits both FTs. Tony misses a baseline jumper at the buzzer. Score at the end of 3 is Boston 74 and Memphis 65.
