Injuries: Tony Battie, torn rotator cuff Key Matchups  vs  Kevin Garnett 6'11" PPG 19.1 RPG 10.40 APG 3.6 EFF + 26.96 Rashard Lewis 6'10" PPG 18.5 RPG 5.40 APG 2.5 EFF + 16.96 Rashard Lewis has played well for the Magic. KG has a height advantage and the team should look to go to KG more in this game.  vs  Kendrick Perkins 6'10" PPG 6.9 RPG 4.90 APG 0.9 EFF + 10.23 Dwight Howard 6'11" PPG 23.5 RPG 15.10 APG 1.5 EFF + 30.37 The Magic like to score in the paint and it will be up to Perk and KG to defend the basket and keep them out on the perimeter. Perk doesn't play as well against quick and mobile centers like Howard and so will need some help from KG to defend against him. Keys to the GameHome Court Advantage The Celtics need to use their home court advantage and feed off the crowd. Orlando is a very good road team at 13-4 but the Celtics have only lost once in their building and need to take care of business at home. Defense The Magic play both inside and on the perimeter. They have very good three point shooters, especially Turkoglu and will need to defend against the perimeter shots. They also have to defend in the paint to keep Howard and Lewis away from the basket. Hustle and Effort The Celtics cannot afford to allow the Magic to get out to a lead. They need to hustle for loose balls and put out the effort on the boards to limit the Magic's second chance and fast break points. Game Notes: The Magic gave the Celtics one of their 3 defeats. The Celtics will look to avenge that loss and make a statement against the team with the 3rd best record in the Eastern conference. They need to win this one to quiet the charges that they haven't beaten any of the top teams. Orlando is coming off a loss to the Jazz at home and will be looking to get back on track in this game. They also will be looking to make a statement against the Celtics. This should be a tough game but if the Celtics play their game with defense and ball movement, they should pull this one out. |

Orlando has been playing lousy lately. Boston should look to apply the screws early and often and dictate the game to Orlando. If we take care of the boards and contain Dwight Howard as other teams have been able to do, this will be another easy Celtics victory.

I hate it when they do this. I am stuck with the Magic announcers because we are considered in the Orlando area so League Pass is blacked out. I hate missing Mike and Tommy.

Magic win the tip. Turkoglu goes past Pierce to the hoop and misses the layup. Howard is hit hard to prevent the put back. Howard misses both FTs. PP misses a jumper and Turkoglu takes the rebound away from Rondo. Lewis misses on the drive and Perk rebounds. KG bounces the ball off Turkoglu's leg and lays it in Nelson is fouled. Magic nibound. Rondo with a steal and he passes it inside to PP for a layup. KG lays it in over Lewis. Lewis hits a jumper. RA drives baseline past Bogans and lays it in. Pierce called for a foul Turkoglu at the line and makes both FTs. PP inside to KG who tries to lay it down to Perk who fumbles it out of bounds. Magic miss and KG rebounds. Rondo hits a one handed runner in the lane. Bogans misses a 3 and KG rebounds. PP spins in the lane and almost loses it. RA has it stolen by Nelson. Nelson is fouled and goes to the line. He hits both FTs. PPmisses a 3 and Bogans rebounds. Lewis misses a 3 from the corner and Rondo rebounds. Rondo with a great ball fake and a layup. Magic turn it over. PP misses a 3 and Lewis is called for a foul on the rebound. Celtics inbound on the side. Lewis with a block. loose ball goes out of bounds off Boston as KG hustles after the loose ball. Turkoglu hits a 3 to tie the game at 12. KG hits a long jumper just inside the arc. Rondo takes it all the way in for a layup. Time out with Celtics up 16-12 and 5:16 left in the first quarter

Howard at the line He hits the first and misses the second. KG rebounds. RA hits a jumper from the baseline off the catch. Howard hits a hook shot in the lane. KG gets it inside for a one handed dunk. Bogans steps out of bounds and Magic turn it over. Pass inside to KG who lays it down to Perk for a 2 handed dunk. Time out with Celtics up 22-15 and 3:38 left in the first

Lewis misses a 3. Celtics rebound. Foul away from the ball on Turkoglu. Celtics inbound on the side with 14 on the SC. KG gets the ball inside but passes out to PP who misses a 3. Turkoglu misses and Lewis commits his second foul on the rebound as he pushes Perk. RA dribbles to the baseline and hits a jumper. Turkoglu misses and Celtics rebound. Perk sqauares up against Howard and has it stripped by Nelson. Celtics inbound with 9 on the SC. Rondo drives into the lane and is fouled as he puts up a runner. He hits the first ans misses the second. Magic rebounds. Evans hits a 3 over Pierce. PP drives through the lane and loses the ball off his foot out of bounds. Perk knocks the ball away from Howard from behind and PP takes it in for a layup. Rondo fouls Howard to avoid a layup. Howard misses both FTS and Perk rebounds. Tony drives down the lane and Howard blocks his shot. PP misses and Magic rebound. Turkoglu hits an open 3. Posey's half court shot misses at the buzzer and score at the end of 1 is Boston 27 and Orlando 21

Celtics inbound to start the 2nd. Travelling called on Pierce. Magic hit a 3. Evans called for a foul on Pierce. Celtics inbound on the side with 14 on the SC. Posey misses a 3 and rebound goes out of bounds off Foyle. Refs reverse their decision. Magic ball. Bad call. Dooling called for travelling. RA drives to the hoop and lays it in . Dooling hits a runner in the lane. PP drives on the baseline and is fouled as he misses the layup. PP hits both FTs. House, Pierce, Pollard, Tony, Posey on the floor. Tony with a steal and he takes it all the way in for a layup. Time out with Boston up 33-26 and 9:40 left in the second

Dooling misses a jumper and Posey rebounds. PP drives into the lane and loses the ball. Dooling called for an offensive foul as Posey takes the charge. RA comes in for PP. Posey fakes and drives and has his shot blocked. REbound goes out of bounds off Posey. Pollard with a block and ball goes out of bounds off Celtics. Magic inbound with 6 on the SC. They miss a jumper and Celtics rebound. RA with a pass inside to Pollard who is fouled by Lewis, his third. Pollard hits the first and misses the second. Magic rebound. Evans hits a jumper over the double team on the baseline. RA misses a 3. Bogans hits a jumper from the top of the arc. Time out with Celtics up 34 - 31 and 7:28 left in the half

House misses a 3 and Howard gets the rebound. Howard with a hook shot over KG. Tony misses a layup. Tony gets the rebound but Nelson takes it away. Howard loses the ball out of bounds as he puts the ball on the floor in the paint and Tony knocks it away. RA misses a jumper in the lane. rebound goes out of bounds off Magic. Perk has it knocked away by Howard and then recovers and misses a hook shot in the lane and Magic rebounds. Turkoglu takes it at Tony and is fouled. He hits both FTs as the Magic take their first lead of the night at 35-34. Perk catches it inside and is fouled by Nelson. Celtics inbound on the side. Bogans called for a block as RA spins into the lane. RA goes to the line. He hits both FTS. Starters are back on the floor for the Celtics. Augustine misses a jumper and long rebound comes out to RA. Nelson called for his 3rd foul as RA drives into the lane. RA hits both FTS. Celtics with pressure in the back court as the Magic bring it up. Perk called for his second foul as he tries to muscle Howard in the lane. Howard hits the first, misses the second. Augustine tips the rebound out to Bogans. Turkoglu misses a 3 and Perk rebounds. Offensive foul called on KG. Technical called on KG as he was upset at that last call. Magic hits the T. Magic inbound in the back court. Dooling hits a scoop shot on a drive into the lane. Perk misses a hook shot. Magic rebound. Howard hits a left handed hook shot. KG misses in the lane and Howard rebounds. Celtics have missed 8 shots in a row. Magic miss and PP rebounds. Pierce at the line hits both FTs. Celtics again pressing in the back court. Shot clock violation on the Magic. KG hits a one handed shot in the lane. Dooling misses and KG rebounds. PP hits a jumper from the FT line. Augustine misses and Perk rebounds. PP hits a spinning jumper over Turkoglu. Turkoglu drives into the lane and PP called for his second foul. Turkoglu misses the first. House comes in for Perk. Turkoglu hits the second. Rondo walks it down looking for the final shot of the half. Rondo hits a 3 at the buzzer. Magic announcers say it is Rondo's first 3 of the year. Score at the half is Celtics 49 and Magic 42

Celtics inbound to start the 3rd. Turkoglu pokes the ball away from Pierce but is called for his 3rd foul. Rondo misses a jumper and Magic rebound. Howard had it poked away by Perk and Rondo with an alley oop to KG for the dunk. Turkoglu drives to the hoop and lays it in. Perk with a dunk inside on a pass inside from KG. Celtics with a steal. KG with a turn around jumper over Turkoglu. Time out with Boston up 55-44 and 10:03 left in the third

Lewis hits a 3 from the corner. PP misses a jumper over Turkoglu. Magic rebound. Perk called for a foul on Howard trying to force him out from the basket. Magic inbound on the side. Travelling on Howard. Doc was standing on the sideline pointing out Howard's pivot foot to the refs. Celtics miss and Rondo tips the rebound out to the Celtics. KG called for a foul on Lewis. The ref right next to the play didn't make the call. Lewis missed a 3 and KG rebounds. Allen misses a 3 and Turkoglu called for his 4th foul. Rondo hits a jumper on the baseline. Howard misses in the lane and KG rebounds. Lewis gets to the hoop for a layup. RA misses from the corner. Magic rebound and then turn it over on a bad pass. Rondo hits a 3 from the corner on a kick out from Pierce. Lewis takes it to the hoop. KG with a block and Magic called for a 24 second violation. PP hits a 3 from the top of the arc. Time out with Celtics up 63-49 and 5:30 left in the 3rd

Nelson misses a jumper and KG rebounds. PP turns it over on a bad pass. Perk with a foul (his 4th) as he stops Howard from getting a layup. Howard hits the first and misses the second. Perk runs down the rebound on the baseline. PP loses the ball but KG picks up the loose ball. PP hits a 3 with a defender in his face. Rondo with great defense forces a bad shot with the SC winding down. Celtics rebound. Rondo kicks out to a wide open RA who hits a 3 from the corner. Time out with the Celtics up 69-50 and 3:51 left in the third
