Like FL has mentioned, there's possibly three cuts coming up, as early as Wednesday. So who are the possible 3 cuts?
I say Jones, Manuel, and Wallace.

I don't know how many the cuts will be, but I want Manuel and Wallace to be cut, and Jones and Batista to be signed

Doc seems to want only 14 players.
Jones, Batista, Wallace and Manuel are on the bubble.
Manuel is gone for sure.
Wallace is the only one with guaranteed money, but if 3 go, he will probably be one of the cuts. Posey can fill the role he was signed for, but he is an intriguing player and if we keep 2 players, I wouldn't mind seeing him stick and be sent to the D League.
Jones has 2 players ahead of him with his same skill set in Posey and Tony.
Going by need, Batista is probably the player they will keep. We need size and with Pollard out already and his history of injury, we really need another center to back up Perk. Doc says that Powe will be the first big off the bench and I believe with his long arms and penchant for being physical, I think he can handle the center position, but it would be nice to have that size to back up Perk.
I say the cuts will be Manuel, Jones, Wallace in that order.

I think if we cut two, it will be Manuel and Jones. If we cut three, the third player will be between Wallace and Batista most likely. But what if Danny & Doc think Pollard will have injury problems, on and off all season? Could he be the third? I really like the up side of Wallace, being an SEC fan, I got to see him play a lot over the last few years, and I think he could be a solid S. Forward in a year or two. He played out of position (center) in college, so it will take some time for him to seattle into the S. forward spot. But the kid could be a player down the road. We will just have to wait and see what Danny and Doc think.

Jones/Manuel pretty much are the exact same player i.e. solid defense/no offense. We already have a good sg/sf back-ups with Allen and Posey carrying the load. So, there is no need for those two unless Allen doesn't fully recover from injury.
Batista can score a few pts/rebs at minimum minutes. Other than that, he's pretty much your stereotypical 13-15th man on the roster. if pollard only has a minor ankle injury then why keep batista around? Regardless, KG is our back-up center when Perk needs a rest or is in foul trouble. If you go by depth chart, Batista is only roughly 3rd-4th string center on this roster. Thus, making him less valuable to us.
I think in the end we stick with wallace leaving the other spot to pick-up a veteran pg.

I agree with JHVOS, most of the time, when Perk gets a rest, Powe (sometimes scal. or maybe Davis, depending on the team we are playing) will come in at the PF spot and KG will slide over to the 5. When Perk comes back in at the 5, KG will take a seat for a few min. Pollard, if healthy, will only play like 5 - 8 min. or less a game, and Batista if he makes the team, will only see the court once in a blue moon, in mop up time. The same goes for Pruitt and Davis. I really don't think Wallace would get in very many games this year, but he IMO is worth a roster spot over Batista, because of his potential.
IMO, the C's will go 9 - 10 deep in most games, during the regular season. House, T. Allen, Posey and Powe will be the main guys off the bench, with Pollard being the 10th. I think they will mostly go with a three man rotation on the front line, That being Perk, KG, and Powe, unless someone gets in foul trouble, or we are playing against Shaq or Duncan. Pollard may get more PT in some games, if he is healthy.

I definately think we will end up cutting three as Doc hinted. We have to keep Batista because of Pollard's injury troubles. I like Dahntay Jones, and I think he should make the team, but I bet he will be cut along with Wallace and Manuel. Leaving one spot open gives us a chance to sign a big man if needed (PJ Brown anyone?).

Well, the least likely option has just happened. Estaban Batista has been cut. Why? I just don't know.
I don't think he was stinking it up on the court, and he obviously plays a position that we're thin at.
I guess this now makes Dahntay Jones the front runner to make the team. Rivers says if Dahntay Jones was here in training camp last season, he would have made the team--but not only that, but possibly started.

I think it would not be a bad idea to pick up another vet. center sometime this year, if possible. With Pollard having yet another injury, the Celtic's really only have Perk and KG who have any experance at the 5. I think Powe and maybe even Davis can play there against some teams, but what if Perk or KG gets injured?
I think we are in better shape at the point with Rondo, House, T. Allen and Pruitt. R. Allen can even play the point, if need be.

I don't think our PG spot is a concern. Our offense isn't predicated on our PG's setting up the team. Someone just needs to bring the ball upcourt and dish it off to Perk or KG at the top of the arc.

Yea, I am with ya about the point DERREN. What do you think about the 5? Do you think we need to p/u another vet.

Yeah, I do, and that may be why we cut Batista. I think there's a guy we are looking at right now.

You may be right. I hope so. Does anyone have a player in mind, other than PJ Brown?

Its posted over at Celticsblog, and I believe the Herald has it already.
Rockin, I'm thinking it could be PJ Brown. Not sure if his asking price is still the same, but he'd make the most sense.
