I'm interested in giving a fresh nickname for our Big 3 that we can call a "Celtics Green" original. The Big 3 has already been taken by Bird, McHale, and Parish, so lets come up with something new. We'll take a vote and pick the nickname that gets the highest amount of votes.
Here's my entry:
THE TRIO

I like THE TRIO, derren. It's simple but sweet. I'm not very good with giving nicknames, but here's my idea:
The Fantastic 3

Donny Marshall has been referring to them as The 3 Studs
I kind of like 3 Headed Monster or Triad but Trio is good too.
In the interview with PP, RA and KG, KG referred to them as the Ceatles (like the Beatles).... KG wants to be Paul
I have also seen them referred to as the PGA tour (Pierce Garnett Allen) and I kind of liked that too. I think my favorite so far is ..... Champions

In the interview with PP, RA and KG, KG referred to them as the Seatles (like the Beatles).... KG wants to be Paul I have also seen them referred to as the PGA tour (Pierce Garnett Allen) and I kind of liked that too. I think my favorite so far is ..... Champions I like Seatles and PGA tour. I think Champions is an awesome nickname, but I think it would be more fitting to give them that nickname once we win a championship because it will be each of their first championship rings.

I heard of GAP before (Garnett, Allen, Pierce), but it just doesn't give any indication of the awesome play we can expect from our three star players.

How about "three-peat" when the team winds back-to-back-to-back titles?

I heard of GAP before (Garnett, Allen, Pierce), but it just doesn't give any indication of the awesome play we can expect from our three star players. I like it for 2 reasons: It's simple, and it males them sound like some sort of non-profit cooperation. "PBS' airing of Nova was brought to you tonight by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, and by the financial support of the GAP Group."

Someone somewhere called them "triple threat", and it sounds good because that's all they are right now.

Yeah, that's catchy too (Triple Threat). I could go with that.

I've been referring to them as the 3 headed monster when talking to people. It just happened that way.
The reason I think I did that is when Pierce had Toine there was always talk of getting that 3rd wheel and they used to say it took a 2 or 3 headed monster to win. Now we have a 3 headed monster. I think Heinsohn was the guy who ingrained that somehow. Or we could just call them the tricycle.
