Did you guys hear this one? It was posted on a Warriors' blog site: www.warriorsworld.net/news/latest/nelson-is-back-and-mp-rumors.htmlI can see why Ainge would look into trading either Big Baby or Powe, because both guys will eventually become our backup PF. Having 2 of them crowds the backup PF spot. Sarunas would be a nice backup PG. I'm having trouble figuring out who I want more; Powe or Davis. I think both guys are going to be good. Powe offers better low post offense, while Davis offers versatility. I'd say Powe is a slightly better rebounder and shot blocker.

I'm not sure I would want to trade either for him but if I had to give up one I'd give up Powe cause I think we know what he can do, but not so for Big Baby who can probably play some center, which is a much harder position to fill.

I'd trade Powe for him. But either would make sense. Big Baby has a lot more upside then any of the players in that deal thuogh. Powe and Jasikiwhatzis are about even as far as talent. I'd be reluctant to trade Davis is all I'm saying, but it makes sense I guess...... I think Davis is going to be good.

Sarunas makes 4 million a year. We would have to trade Scal, Powe AND Big Baby (or Pruitt or Wallace) for him. That would solve our back up PG problem but would make our already thin front court even thinner.

That's the thing is I don't think Sarunas is really any better than scal or powe. He's basically the scal of pgs. If we could get him for Scal and Powe and a throwin it might be worth it, but it seems like too much.

We also could send them our trade exception i believe which is like 1.4 mil. It was Delontes salary. I dont know if its still available.

Maybe the best thing about this is if we sent 2 or 3 guys for one it would open up a roster spot or two for players that want to come here and win a ring for cheap. I'd call guys like Keith Van Horn, Allan Houston, Dikembe, Chris Webber, Charlie Bell, John Stockton, etc and be like "How much is a ring worth to you and how bad would you want it"? I think they'd get someone.

how can Davis play center, come on this meatball is 6'6'' and can't walk. Don't say a word that he can run, he roll over the floor, we must throw this sausage at GS and get Jaske

He may look like a sausage, but Big Baby is surprisingly agile on his toes. He may not outrun opposing PF's in a footrace, but shifting his body from side to side and putting on moves in a one on one matchup is where he shows his quickness.
I still don't know who I would want more. I like Powe for various reasons. He's a silent assasin, and I like that he takes it right at guys in the paint. Plus, he's a pretty solid rebounder and defensive player.
I like Davis' charisma, and if he can utilize his body and strength to his advantage, he can be a wrecking ball rebounder.

if you put the things like that we must keep one of them I'll take Powe with no hesitation, I write my thought of the other suspect

Sarunas has been bought out and is now a free agent. Does anyone know what it'll cost to bring him here?
Maybe Ainge will bring him in.

We can only offer him the veteran's minimum since we are over the cap and the MLE is used up

Alright, then. We shall see if Sarunas really wants to be a Celtic--see if he really wants to win a title. If he comes for the vets minimum, he really means business.

But if he is on waivers, any team can claim him off waivers at the 4 million he is making now. If he isn't claimed off waivers ( I think it is either 1 week or 2 weeks we have to wait) then we can offer him anything and he still gets the 4 mill from GS and whatever contract he can get from another team. So, taking the vet minimum wouldn't be all that bad cause he would actually be making 4 mill plus the minimum.
