Ain't it amazing that Pinkney was able to do so well in his very first game out of the D-League, even without having any drills or practices with the team? He just did what all basketball players should do--which are to fill the lanes, slide to the open spot on the court, keep your feet moving, and anticipate the next move. By doing these things, he put himself in position to do damage once the received the ball.
Be nice to see more of him. Perk is going to have a handful with Shaq. Key for him is to stay away from foul trouble.
Gomes has become perimeter happy, and I'm not so happy about that. Its nice that his range is increasing, but he's got to mix it up and go inside as well.
Gerald and Allan Ray need to get open for good looks at the basket.
Rajon and Telfair need to attack and not just run around at the top of the circle.

Rondo, Ray, Gomes, Green and Perk starting for the Celtics. Heat win the tip. Haslem hits a jumper. Green hits a jumper off the catch. Posey hits a 3 from the top of the arc. Green misses a 3 and the rebound goes to Shaq. Williams hits a 3. Ray misses an outside jumper. Shaq gets the ball inside and lays it in. Williams knocks the ball away from Gomes and come away with it. Green called for a foul and Heat inbound on the side. Posey gets inside for a layup. Time out with Heat up 12-2 and 9:11 left in the first.

Green hits a jumper behind the screen. Shaq gets an easy 2 on the up and under. Perk misses a hook shot. Heat rebounds. Perk with a block on Shaq but is called for a foul. He back rims both FTs. Lane violation on Ray gives Shaq one more FT. He rims out this one and Gomes rebounds. Gomes hits a jumper. Shaq has 5 times more career points than all the Celtics in uniform tonight. Haslem misses a jumper and Rondo rebounds. Gomes front rims a jumper from the top of the key and Haslem rebounds. Haslem misses and Rondo rebounds. Rondo drives and kicks out to Ray who misses a jumper and Rondo rebounds and puts it in. Perk with good defense on Shaq comes away with the ball. Ray hits a 3 at the SC and he is fouled. Time out with 5:55 left in the first and Heat up 14-11.

Ray hits the FT. Heat miss and Rondo rebounds. Green stops and pops and hits. Green is called for his second foul. Williams takes it to the hoop and misses but Shaq is there to slam home the miss. Perk hits a short jumper in the lane. Powe is in for Green. Shaq hits a jumper over the double team and Gomes called for a foul. Shaq hits the FT. Ray misses and Powe tracks down the rebound and passes to an open Gomes for 2. Haslem misses and Perk gets the rebound. Perk with a great pass inside to Gomes for an easy layup. Time out with 3:18 left in the first and Celtics up 20-19

Haslem hits a jumper. illegal defense on Miami. Gomes hits the T. Walker comes in for Posey to mixed cheers and boos. Rondo takes it to the hoop and is fouled by Kapono. Rondo hits the first and misses the second. Heat rebound. Ray called for a foul. Kapono hits both FTs. Payton is in the game for Miami. Perk brings the ball up the floor. Ray misses a 3. Heat rebounds. Walker hits a 3. Gomes hits a 3 from the top of the arc. Offensive foul by Kapono as Ray takes the charge. Telfair comes in for Rondo. Powe misses a jumper and Haslem rebounds. Haslem misses a dunk and rebound goes out of bounds to Boston. Gomes is fouled by Walker as he takes it to the hoop. He hits the first and Pinkney comes in for Perk. Gomes misses the second and Heat rebound. Mourning gets the ball inside and dunks. Telfair misses a jumper and heat rebound. They don't get a shot off in time and score at the end of 1 is Miami 28 and Boston 26

Telfair gets it inside to Pinkney who is fouled. The first FT rims out. the second one bounces off the rim and Heat rebound. Heat miss from the corner and Telfair gets the rebound. Powe misses a hook shot over Haslem and Heat rebound. Pinkney with a steal. Ray takes it down the lane for a layup. Walker banks a 3 off the glass. Powe spins to the basket and draws a foul on Haslem. Celtics inbound on the side. Celtics miss and Heat rebound. Gomes is called for a foul. Green comes in for Gomes. Walker misses a hook shot and Pinkney rebounds. Telfair passes up a shot. Green has it deflected out of bounds and Time out is called with Miami up 31-28 and 8:57 left in the half.

Green stops and pops and hits a jumper from the top of the key. Miami turns it over on the inbound pass. Pinkney gets inside and hands off to Powe who dunks it. Payton hits a fall away in the lane. Telrair misses a layup and Powe is there to tip home the miss. Jones turns it over. Ray finds Green for a dunk. Time out with 7:24 left in the half and Boston up 36-33

Ray misses a 3 and Rondo sneaks in for a rebound and layup. Shaq spins around Pinkney and lays it in and draws the foul on Pinkney. He misses the FT and Gomes rebounds. Rondo gets inside for a layup. Willaims misses a 3 and Rondo comes out with the rebound. Green misses a 3 and Shaq rebounds. Pass inside to Shaq for a dunk. Gomes hits a 3. Shaq misses a hook shot and Haslem is there for the rebound and layup. Rondo's shot is blocked by Posey. Heat miss but Haslem is there for the rebound and put back. time out with 50 seconds left in the half and Heat up 50-45

He hits both FTs. powe breaks up a pass and Heat will inbound with 9 on the SC. Mourning called for a double dribble. Gomes called for an offensive foul. Perk comes in for Gomes. Kapono hits a jumper off the catch. Green is fouled by Jones. Celtics inbound on the side. Rondo in for Ray. Celtics miss a jumper and rebound goes out off Heat.
