Say that Toronto's GM calls you and offers you Chris Bosh straight up for Al Jefferson; would you do it and why?

I wouldn't do it. Al has developed chemistry with this team and he is going to be just as good if not better than Bosh.

No way. Jefferson is better than Bosh. Jefferson is a better rebounder and interior post player imo. better shot blocker. Just better all around. It could be argued Jefferson is better than Dwight Howard who was the #1 pick out of high school. Howard might be a beast on the boards and more athletic, but Jefferson's game is more refined for this point in their respective careers. Jefferson probably has the best all around game and post moves out of any young big man right now. Just look at the their numbers over the past month. Jefferson is closer to Howard than he is to bosh. And Jefferson's percentages and turnovers are much better.

If what you say about Bosh shooting jumpers is true then absolutely not. Bosh is what he is. AL J is scratching the surface

I wholeheartedly agree with you guys--I wouldn't trade Jefferson for Bosh. Chris Bosh is an amazing talent, and he's putting up spectacular numbers, but I prefer big men who play like Big Al (in the post) rather than big men who primarily play the perimeter (Bosh).

They are pretty much equal in all stats except for scoring, where Bosh averages 7+ points more than Al. Al has a slight edge in rebounding, while Bosh has a slight edge in FG% and FT%. And on the age tip, there really isnt that much of a difference,. Bosh is around 9 months older. So if I had to choose, I'd take Bosh. But it would be a close call, and you really can't go wrong with either of them.

What about the way they play, Fresh. You prefer big men like Bosh who take jumpers away from the basket like a wing player? or big men who play in the paint where they have a chance to grab their own misses and tip it in?

You know that The Fresh is a patron of the art that is low post offense. I almost gave AlJeff the edge just because of his propensity for the low post game. But from the handful of times Ive seen Bosh, it wasnt like he was Matt Bullard 2.0. The dude was scoring a lot of ways. Plus he played great D and can run the court like a deer. But like I said earlier, you cant go wrong either way.

I agree Bosh is better at putting it on the floor and his game is different in some ways, but as a PF and what a PF should be imo, i take Al. I would also win with my selection. Like you said Bosh has a headstart. Ultimately Al is the better player. I probably shouldn't say these things, because next year in fantasy I'll draft al and you can have bosh and we will see who gets the better player. PS-try not to take me too seriously with these comments. I am joking but serious at the same time.

I am serious though that i think when it's all said and done Al is going to be the best PF around. KG might have something to say about that but he's getting up there in age. Bosh, Howard, Amare are probably the only guys that can be compared as far as upside and age. And you are right that they are all very close and it's apples and oranges for the most part. Different style of players though.

I just really like how Al takes it to the basket rather than taking the ball further away from the basket. Sure Bosh does drive to the basket at times and Jefferson will take midrange jumpers at times. But in whole, Big Al plays inside while Bosh stays outside, and that's why I'll take Al any day.
I like big men who play in the trenches.

Fresh. Would you want Bosh over Al now? Yup. It's really close. But I'll always take the guy putting up numbers on a play-off team over a guy putting up numbers on a 60 loss team. But its almost a coin flip. You cant go wrong with either of them.
