Through the first 90 games of their career, Green has better stats than TMac did. Mutombo misses the first hits the second. Al hits a jumper over Mutombo. Battier misses a 3 and rebound goes out of bounds to Boston. Rondo comes in for West. Rondo takes it to the basket but the layup bounces around and out. West is going to the locker room with Eddie Lacerte. Dickerson said he got hit in the head and may have a concussion as Lacerte was asking him questions. Battier hits a 3. Al called for a travel inside. TMac called for an offensive foul as Scal takes the charge. Al misses a jumper. McGrady rebounds. Battier hits a 3. Time out with 3:36 left in the third and Houston up 82-61.

Green misses a jumper Hayes rebounds. TMac gets a layup. Rondo's layup is blocked by Mutombo and it goes out off Rockets. Celtics inbound with 9 on the SC. Celtics miss and Mutombo rebounds. Hayes hits a jumper. PP takes it hard to the basket and is fouled. He hits both FTs. Battier misses and Mutombo misses a tip. Hayes with a rebound. TMac hits a 3. Rondo misses a layup and Powe is fouled as he gets the rebound. first FT rims out. he hits the second. Alston takes it to the basket and lays it in. Powe hits a hook shot in the paint. Hayes lays it in. Powe goes baseline and is fouled. Scal comes in for PP. He hits both FTs. battier misses a 3 and Scal rebounds and misses a heave at the buzzer. Score at the end of 3 is Rockets 93 and Celtics 68. Powe is doing some good things. I hope Doc leaves him in;

Gomes has a sprained foot. West has a concussion and won't return. Rockets inbound to start the 4th. TMac hits a turn around jumper over Telfair. Green misses a jumper from the FT line and Powe tips the rebound out to Rondo. Rondo's pass inside is picked off by Rockets. Kandi, Powe, Rondo, Green, Telfair on the floor. Houston hits a jumper. offensive foul on Kandi. Rockets turn it over on a bad pass out of bounds. Rondo turns it over on a bad pass out of bounds. Time out with 10:12 left in the 4th and Houston up 97-68

Powe tips the rebound out to Green. powe is fouled hard as he spins to the hoop. powe hits both FTs. rockets hit a 3. Powe gets the ball inside and his fouled hard as he goes up for a shot. First rims in and out. He misses the second and Rockets rebound. Novak hits a 3. Green misses and Powe gets the rebound but it is knocked away and Lucas called for a travel. TElfair misses a 3 and Snyder rebounds. Rockets dribble out the clock. Final score is Rockets 111 and Celtics 80.

West suffered a concussion when Mutombo's elbow caught him just above the eye. He is going to spend the night in the hospital for observation. Doc said that Gomes hurt his foot, which sounds worse than an ankle sprain and he will have it xrayed tomorrow. Doc sat Al down because he said his foot was hurting. I sure hope plantaar fasciitis isn't catchy.

I didn't necessarily expect to win, but I didn't think we would lose this poorly.
Interesting comparison with Green and T-Mac in their first 90 games. Hopefully, the trend will continue.

Good things come to an end. Though, a 31 point loss is hard to deal w/. I think G2 got too caught up playing Houston, 1-14?  |

What do you expect when you get a matchup of the worst team in the EC getting injured vs one of the five Western Superpowers at full strength?
Sounds like the injury bug is biting us hard again.
Pierce played well, Jefferson reasonably so, but nobody else bothered to show up. And Dufus Doc decided that Scalabrine was the best man for covering Scalabrine, YEEESH. Dufus Doc, will you please go back to being Charles Barkley's sidekick in the TNT Studio?

Scala guarding T-Mac almost reminded me of the the NCAA tournament, (Duke vs. UCONN) when Coach K hedged that Williams/Randolph fouls together would be enough vs. Okafor. When it wasn't enough, he sends out Horvath. |
