Well it was fun watching Jefferson and Amare go back and forth. Definately an entertaining game although I'm getting tired of these moral victories. Pierce played well. Delonte had a nice game. Gomes played well. That's pretty much what stood out to me. We didn't really get any contributions from the bench though. It's weird the minute I start saying Telfair stinks and we want more Rondo, Doc basically sits Rondo and plays Telfair teh most minutes he's had in a while. I wasn't really impressed with either tonight in the minutes they got. Telfair is bleh. Rondo was invisible in the minutes he had.

When Phoenix has guys like Barbosa coming off the bench and contributing 20+ and solid D and we have like 8 points total off the bench that's where we lost this game. Doc basically just said he went with Telfair trying to generate some scoring off the bench because Phoenix was just sagging off Rondo and Rondo missed some bunnies that kind of hurt. And he was probably right in making htat move. We really need some of these guys to step up.

We scored 108 pts, but we faced an offensive juggernaught who just couldn't miss at the close of the 4th quarter. We actually did a lot better than I imagined, which is rather encouraging.
As funny as it sounds, we should have won this game. We definitely could have. Seemed like Pierce clammed up at the end and tried to do too much by himself. But I'm not complaining about Pierce--he's been an excellent teammate thus far.
Ryan Gomes has become such an important part of our offense. I'd like to hold onto him (unless we can get a star big man using him in a package).

I fell asleep on the couch but I woke up in the 4th qtr to find the Celtics down 5 but they simply don't have the talent required to finish games like this. In fact it is becoming clearer that even with Pierce out there, this is one of the worst teams in the NBA. Phoenix was very sloppy and won only because of superior talent.
Accept mediocrity and go watch other teams like Toronto and Detriot this year.
Visit me on my NBA board.
After the Laker game Friday night, I am pulling the plug on the worst season in Celtics history. I will end up in a mental institution if I keep watching the Celtics.
