One that could pertain to us is the negotiations between the Grizzlies and the Bulls. The Bulls are looking for a big and would like to get Pau Gasol. But it appears that Memphis wants Deng, Gordon (and possibly Hinrich) and the Bulls aren't willing to deal that combination. Sources are saying that the Bulls are now shifting their attention to acquire either Brandan Hayward or Etan Thomas--one of whom will be shipped out of Washington D.C. because they can't get along with each other.
If the Bulls trade with Washington instead, Memphis may settle for less. This is where Ainge may be able to swoop in and offer a nice package of youngsters (aside from Al or Gerald), a big expiring contract and draft picks.
Maybe a couple of youngsters from this pile (Gomes, Delonte, Perk, Telfair, Rajon, Ray), Theo's contract and a future 1st round pick (maybe Minnesota's future pick).

If I were the Griz I'd look at that list, look at the price tags, and say "Ok well take all of them so long as you take a little crud back"

No trade out there will help us. Danny has been whipped on every single trade since he has taken over. The Celtics need to fire him as well as Doc Rivers.

I think Ainge has gotten on the job training. I don't think he'll make any more trades for injured players who aren't impact players (ala Raef and Wally). And he probably won't trade away a high 1st round pick like he did in that Portland trade. I understand the reason why he made the trade (we didn't have a need for Brandon Roy, we needed speedy PG's, we needed financial relief), but next time, he'll think twice before giving away a high pick.
Like most teams, I think Ainge is going to wait until he finds out where we will draft before making a big trade. If we do make a trade, it'll probably be in the offseason, once its been decided where we'll draft.
