Ever since his rookie season, Jefferson has been taking baby steps forward, while his injuries have been prolonging his breakout.
Well, his injuries have subsided this season, and along with ample playing time, he has blossomed into quite a force at 22 years of age. He now ranks 9th in the entire NBA, with a 10.7 rpg average. This puts him ahead of such powerhouses like Jermaine O'Neal, Elton Brand, Shawn Marion, Zach Randolph, Dirk Nowitzki, Ben Wallace, Amare Stoudemire and just 0.01 percent in back of Tim Duncan and David Lee for 7th place.

Pretty impressive considering he hasn't reached his ceiling yet. He still has some growing to do.

Yes he does. Rebounding wise, I think he's rounding out to form (between a 10 ~ 11 rpg guy). But where I think he's got a lot of room to grow is offensively. Seems like he's bringing back the sky hook ;D Jefferson's touch around the rim is becoming more precise and he executes that hook pretty quickly now. Plus, he's hitting his jumpers as well, making it doubly hard for his opponents to figure out what he's going to do.
Early in the Milwaukee game, Doc called a play that had Jefferson posting on one side and Pierce posting on the other. They had no idea who to double up on. I want to see this more often.

I am not surprised he is ranked as high. Actually, I thought he might be ranked higher. He seems to average more rebounds than points.
