Twenty years from now, as we look back at both of their careers, who will have had the better career--Pierce or Durant?

Unless Durant gets a serious injury or turns out to be a world-class jerk in diguise, I'll take Durant in a heartbeat.

Durant is definately the more talented player physically. He's 6'10" and can pull up for a jumper that noone can stop. I just question whether he will be a team player. He seems to be primarily focused on scoring and showcasing his skills vs actually winning games at this point. This is why I like Oden... But Durant is just sick talentwise. I do think he's going to be a project of sorts though and he takes a lot of bad shots and doesn't play defense the way he could. As far as excitement and potential I don't think anyone compares to Durant. I haven't seen a player like him ever. He does he compare to? He plays like Jordan but he's 6'10". People say Garnett but he's more of a wing player and has more range. He's more athletic than Dirk. He's similar to mcgrady but bigger. He's basically a bigger version of Jordan with better range, with less defense and passing. Carmelo might be a good comparison, but he's more athletic imo and less of a passer. Durant is going to be a guy that averages 25-30 a game and 12 boards and 2 blocks as a wing player.

Pierce is a top 10 player on a good day. Durant is going to be godlike if he puts it all together.

Honestly if I were Ainge which I'm not, I would be eying Durant just because his potential is out of this world, even over Oden. I think you can't go wrong with either one though. Whoever gets either of these guys has the potential to be a powerhouse.

PP has made the All-NBA 3rd team once I think. I'm pretty sure Durant can beat that.
