Is it even possible we could get him for our pick and a salary dump? It seems to me Memphis is going to want more than that. Has anyone read any proposed deals that would get him here without giving up our core of Pierce, Jefferson, Rondo, Green, etc... A starting 5 of Rondo, Pierce, Green, Jefferson, Gasol would be really good. And if we can somehow keep West, Allen, Perk and Gomes or Powe that would be a really good rotation..... It seems too good to happen though and I'm guessing we'd have to give up something to get something here.

I'm saying at least AL jefferson and a first round pick. Also Jerry West has a hard on for gerald green. He was upset we grabbed him before the grizzles. We dont need to make any moves right now, were to deep in the hole. These guys need to stick together, and the orginazation dosen't need to do any hasty right now. Losing together will only benefit them in later years. Our biggest problem is we don't know how to win. Our players are to inexperienced. Hopefully with pierce back we'll be able to start winning a few of these close games.

SEe that's the thing I would never give up any of our core to get Gasol. I'd give them our pick and something. We have Perk, we can play the lottery and draft someone if we don't get him. But it would be nice to get Gasol on the cheap. I wouldn't hesitate to give up multiple picks, Wally, Ratliff, Gomes or Powe, West or Telfair, Scal, etc for someone like Gasol but other than that I wouldn't give anyone up.

If we do a straight up deal without involving other teams, and Ainge is hellbent on acquiring Gasol, I think we will have to trade away Gerald Green. Al Jefferson is cementing his future in Boston so I highly doubt he goes.
If Memphis would take Pierce, I think Ainge would pull the trigger and keep Gerald, but it was said a couple of weeks ago that Memphis is not willing to take on Pierce.
Here's what I think we'd have to offer:
Gerald Green Ryan Gomes Kendrick Perkins Sebastian Telfair Theo Ratliff's contract 1st round pick
for
Pau Gasol additional player
I think Ainge will be smart and see wait till the season ends to find out where we will draft first, before making a trade. If we land a top 3 pick, we won't trade away our pick. If we go beyond the 3rd, I think Ainge makes the swap.

Like DM said, Id much rather what till the off-season to work on a Gasol trade. If we end up with either Oden(ohpleaseohpleaseohplease), Hawes, Noah, or BWright, I wouldnt bother. But if we end up with Durant*. I'd give JWest a call. IF we end up with one of the bigs, Id like to see DA explore a Mike Bibby trade.
If we end up with Durant, I am still intrigued by a lineup of:
Al Durant Pierce Allen/GG(whoever's better) Best PG available
If you want a lineup that can run, that would be it. And talk about spreading the court.

Nothing - I can't picture Gasol wanting to come here and play for the Celtics unless we get Greg Oden or possibly Durant. So we may in better position to negotiate for Gasol's services.
Right now Chicago appears to have the inside track but Utah may have a realistic proposal on the table.

Fresh, you don't want to put Durant at PF. He's a wing player all the way.
