Just wondering who people would want in the draft, assuming we end up with a top 3 pick. I'd probably take Oden #1 still although I'm not sure. He's a center and he's less of a project than Durant. Durant is super talented, but I think he is a project of sorts and its going to take him a few years to really reach the level he can be at. Durant is very versatile and will be a hell of a player. Noah would probably be #3 for me. I would take Oden just on upside, where he's at now, and because he's a center and the type of player we need imo.

My first two will would Oden and Durant (what a shocker!), but number three is kind of a jumble still. I like Oden, both of the Wrights, and Spencer Hawes. I'll hold off on making a decision until we know more about these guys NBA-wise.

Espn actually did a decent piece on the C's if anyone caught it. They basically said it's a perfect storm sort of thing, and said we can either play the lottery and hope we get an Oden or Durant or trade the pick for something more proven. I personally would rather play the lottery, but they said it's risky and I agree, because if we don't land a stud we are a long ways away still.
And Fresh, I can't bring myself to like Brandon Wright. He looks way too much like Blount. I know its silly but he just does.

HOnestly, I really cant say to things about the guy since I havent seen him play yet this year. I just threw his name in the mix because a lot of scouts are in love with this guy.

What did you think of my poll yesterday?
I agree that the perfect storm has hit the Celtics this year. A combination of back mistakes (like the trade of Antione for LaFrentz, the 2001 draft, the trade for Vin Baker), a rash of injuries the likes of which I have never witnessed, too much young talent brought in here at once, and a second rate coach. It truly is unbelievable taking us at least twenty games below where we should be. Oh and the rest of the bottom feeders in the East have gotten a lot better - even the Knicks. I find myself rooting for the Knicks, Sixers, Raptors, Hawks, and Bucks this year. THat is how screwed up this NBA season has become.
We truly need help and I advocate trading for a veteran like Gasol and trading out deadwieght like Wally Z and Theo Ratliffe. But I'd keep our draft picks.

CF, I hear you about Brandan Wright. He does look like Mark Blount, though he's seems to have a better attitude. But I guess to give Mark Blount credit, he is a good player when he's motivated. Brandon Wright is a talented kid, but he's got to rebound more.

I would be really disapointed if the Celtics didn't nab Oden or Durant. I am just not that excited w/ the rest of the draft. And, it seems like there is alot of parrity from 3-13.

Knowing our luck, we pick Joakim Noah and he busts.
