THis team just blew a 20 point lead at home to the Atlanta freaking Hawks.
THIS IS NOT A TANK JOB. THIS IS A CASE OF POOR TALENT AND POOR COACHING AND VERY POOR MANAGERIAL PERFORMANCE.
GET IN LINE AND HOPE ODEN COMES TO BOSTON.

The talent is there. The kids need more time to develop.

GET IN LINE AND HOPE ODEN COMES TO BOSTON. I've been in this line for ages now. The weather sucks, but Ive heard it should be clearing up sometime mid-April.

Anything less than Oden or Durant at this point would be a huge blow.

Injuries have forced us to be young and inexperienced. You mustn't expect much when guys are still learning how to play. It was encouraging to see them battle the Spurs, but of course there will also be nights when we squander leads against poor teams like the Hawks.
But remember that the team also lost Jefferson for the 4th quarter last night, and Perk was exhausted. We may have won the game if they both were playing like they were up until that point. Both had double doubles.

The talent is there. The kids need more time to develop. They also need a different coach, too. I'm worried that Delonte West, Gerald Green, Al Jefferson, and Tony Allen won't sign long term deals in Boston due to the losing culture that has been established. I'm surprised that Danny and Wally have not asked for trades yet.

I have been patient for over 20 years with this team. It just won't happen here in my lifetime.

I'm worried that Delonte West, Gerald Green, Al Jefferson, and Tony Allen won't sign long term deals in Boston due to the losing culture that has been established. I dont buy the 'culture of losing' stuff, especially with the young guys. Players will go wihere the money is. And besides, the "culture of losing" didnt seem to effect the spurs, who went from 60 losses to a championship in 2 years, or the Nuggets and Cavs, who each had 60+ loss seasons comings into the 2003 draft. In actuality, those losing seasons set those franchises up for the next 15+ years. More times than not, to get a franchise player, youve got to be terrible. On the subject of the "culture of losing" myth, Jeff from celticsblog has an article on his main page dismissing it as well.

Personally I'm more optimistic than I've been in a long time. I think DA has put together some good talent. If PP had not been injured, the team would be kicking in for a good run at and into the playoffs. One of the important things now is to get guys healthy. Some injuries can get aggravated or become chronic, and that would hurt.
The biggest danger is that as a losing season wanes, the players might forget about a teamwork approach to basketball and ply for individual gratification.
