What spurred me on to post this topic in the first place was an article I read which claimed the 4 year vet was already a bust. I actually got outraged! I was like, "this guy has only played 4 years and can already outrebound anyone in the league per 48!" Not to mention the succession of his injuries since Summer League.
But it did get me thinking about it though. So, I went with it and played Devils Advocate, He is closing in on a pivotal point in his career. Despite the injuries, he has to come healthy and start giving us 10ppg at least.
Cuz, honestly, right now, ex-Celtic Mark Blount is the better Center....gulp!
Thank the Lord for Big Al!!

I'm not pleased with most of out team. Does it come down to coaching or tallent? Are these guys still so young? Injuries or lack of tallent? I want to poke my (your) eye with a stick, thinking of this season. Not good either way.
Is it time for the draft yet?
Is that gonna help...?

Last season Al was labeled a bust by many because he didn't produce and was plagued by injuries. This year it is Perk. Here are some of my thoughts from a Loy's Place article I just posted:

Worth remembering that this is his 4th year---out of HS. The biggest t hing he has had to learn is how to avoid foul trouble. He is faring much better this year, which means more minutes when healthy, which he hasn't been at least part of the time. I like to think that the first half of the Atlanta game is more like what we can expect---not proportionately, but close to or in double figures in both RB and scoring.
