Green vs
Green is going to be under the microscope as this is his opportunity to shine. He has been struggling with his shot but a little more aggressiveness and confidence will go a long way toward getting him on track.
Perkins vs Mohammed
We will need Perk to defend in the paint and rebound strong if we are to have a chance in this game.
The Celtics have test on tap tonight when they face the Detroit Pistons in Auburn Hills, as they head to Detroit with just nine guys ready to play thanks to injuries up and down the roster.
Coming into tonight, the Pistons had lost six of their last eight games after Friday's 99-93 loss in Atlanta. The Pistons certainly haven't played up to their expectations as of late, but they've been without Chauncey Billups for six games since he strained his calf in their December 29 game against the Pacers. His status for tonight's game hasn't been announced, so the Pistons may have to play without him again tonight.
The Pistons (20-13) and Celtics (12-22) met at the TD Banknorth Garden in the second game of the year, with the Pistons holding off the Celtics in a 101-88 decision. The win was Detroit's fifth consecutive victory over the Celtics.
For the Celtics, Rajon Rondo played a solid game Friday night in Boston's 95-86 loss to the Raptors, dropping a game-high 23 points to go with five assists. Leon Powe also impressed, grabbing 12 rebounds in just over 16 minutes of play
Keys to the Game:
Stay healthy - no more injuries
Rebound and defend. Rondo and Powe could be key players for their rebounding and defense. They both had incredible games against Toronto in spite of Powe playing the fewest minutes of any Celtic. This kid needs more playing time.
Play team ball. No one player has to do it all. The only way they will win is by playing together.
Hit some shots. We need more offense. Green has been struggling and at first Ray struggled. Al has struggled with his offense. Gomes has been struggling with his shot. We need all of them to step up their offense and hit the shots, especially the open shots and layups.
