This one hurts bad. When Pierce was sidelined, I didn't feel bad. When Wally went down, I didn't feel bad. When Delonte went down, I cringed as I saw him laying on the floor, but the thought of him missing action didn't bother me too much. Same for Theo, Olowokandi, and Scalabrine.
But losing Tony Allen hurts bad. It took the life out of me.
I just can't find the words to say right now.

My first post in a while... Wow... I mean wow!! Looks like someone just cursed this team... I am one of TA's biggest fans and am lost for words right now... I hope he can come back next year and win us all over again... Lets hope the one good thing that comes out of this is a good big man in this draft... I'll pray for Tony...

Lol. Yeah the C's are pretty bad, but at least Green will get some run now. We can always look at the bright side here.

Good to see you posting Sprash! Yes losing Tony hurts. An ACL is a very tough injury to rehab from but he will have a lot of support to do so. Doc tore an ACL and came back from it and Powe tore his twice and came back strong. Leon should be an inspiration for Tony and maybe that will help him as he once again fights through injury to come back strong next season. He has that fight in him and he is going to come back better than ever.

What is next for this team? At this rate, we might have to forfiet games because we cannot field a full team out there.
This Tony Allen knee injury is an absolute disaster. At one time I had him pegged to replace Pierce. Now, I don't think Tony Allen will ever be the same player again and may only find a journeyman role somewhere in this league if he is lucky.

It must be a sign from the basketball gods, since this year's draft will be one of the best, and deepest drafts in recent years. Oden, Durant.

The reason I felt so bad losing Tony is because he gave me hope for our future, cause he plays stellar offense AND defense, and he was a huge factor for our uptempo game.

Great to see all of you on one thread. Some of the best posters on CG and friends, in one spot. Good to see Eddie and Sprash again ---- get back more often or we're making your rooms into a den or spare bedroom...

0So much for the overabundance of swing guys!
One probably outcome of this is that Green will pass him by, and be default take the team in a different way, given his gifts. By next season, GG will be a fixture---either as a stgarter or as the swing man off the bench.
What is less clear is what will happen with Powe. Gomez is now putting in time at the 3. Perk is at the 5, and AJ back at the 4. Perk isn't putting up any kind of stats. Any impressions of his play? Is his presence in the paint opening some things up for AJ, at least on the boards? If so, can Olo give sufficient minutes off the bench to leave AJ at the 4? If AJ stays at the 4, who will get his backup minutes, Powe or Gomes? If Doc wants to maintain a semblance of a running team (and plan for the future that way), Powe will get time, because he is a better rebounded, which is the start of a running game.

At this point the team is a disaster and I doubt Doc will be back. The season should be about developing GG, Rondo, AJ, and maybe Bassy and Perk if at all possible. It's pretty clear now Doc is out of options for the time being. In a really weird and painful way we got what we wanted which is play time and development time for young guys, while taking a shot at Oden, but the moment Wally, PP, and West are back those minutes and development will be back out the door. Know when to hold em and fold em and Doc holds em when he should fold em but it doesn't even matter cause every time he holds em he has no idea what to do with em. It's just a disaster season

The team lacks direction. It goes to a player, only when another player is hurt. Doc's so-called minutes earned stuff is his excuse for playing who he wants.
